Feel bad for Bradford, the offense finally had weapons. Rams are still projected to have a winning record IMO though

They will draft first overall and get Jamies Winston even if they trade every pick they have for the next 2 years

Is Hill that much worse then Bradford?? They should go after Tebow! Or trade for Gabbert

Hassleback is on the Titans roster. What if TJax gets cut by Seattle? Ponder is all but out in MN. There may be options if they work the phones.

Heck, CLE might go well CLE and push their chips in on Manziel.

It has been a few years since Hill saw any sort of extended action, but I'm leaning towards thinking the Rams might be even more dangerous with Shaun Hill as their QB than they were with Sam Bradford. That being said, I know Hill is now 34 and his noodle arm probably only got noodle-ier, but in 8 starts for the Niners in 2008 Shaun Hill threw for 2,046 yards to an over the hill Isaac Bruuuuuuuuuce and a I-never-had-a-hill-to-be-over Bryant Johnson.

In 2010 Hill threw for 2,686 yards in 10 starts for an injured Matthew Stafford. Granted, in 2010 Shaun Hill was throwing to the best WR in the NFL in Calvin Johnson, but he also connected with Brandon Pettigrew 71 times for 722 yards, which was the 2nd best statistical season of Pettigrew's career.

And for what it's worth, Shaun Hill's career completion percentage (61.9%) is better than that of all QBs he has been the backup to; better than Alex Smith (59.5% overall - 59.3% in SF; 60.6% in KC) Matthew Stafford (59.5%) and Sam Bradford (58.6%). Hill should bring a veteran leadership that Bradford doesn't have, and if Fisher is worth his money he'll find a way to utilize Hill like Andy Reid utilized Alex Smith in 2013.

Hill seems way older than 34.....I know it's correct but he seems older.

I was never a fan of Bradford and always saw him to be a bust. If the Rams want to be good they need to find a new QB. Obviously Hill isn't that guy but I don't see the Rams being in that bad of a position still. That defense is what was going to get them the wins in the first place

I wasn't ever for or against him. I just didn't like how early he was crowned based upon his first year. I heard some borderline Luck-type talk. Obviously, injuries and OC's hurt, but I felt it was entirely too early for that media stuff. Just take what happened and take some things into consideration, don't extrapolate.

I don't feel too bad for him. He's 26, healthy (except for a repaired knee), and he's probably worth about 50 million dollars by now after taxes. He'll be fine. He can go be a colour commentator for the Sooners or something to stay busy.

About 25 million, actually. He's also set to make 14mil (pre-tax) for '14 and then 13mil in '15. By the end of the next two years he'll be worth almost 40mil.

Nothing to feel bad about. He has enough money to last his family for generations, and hasn't really done much to earn it except play in Oklahoma's offense.

I'm actually watching the game now on NFLNW. Bradford throws a beautiful ball. He was due to have a monster year this year had he stayed healthy.

Huge injury for the NFC West. This could mean Jameis or Mariota in a Rams jersey in '15. Not good!!

I don't see the Rams with a top 5 pick this year. Bradford was never special, and Shaun Hill has had a degree of "success." It isn't the same as Indy going from Peyton to Painter.

There still a 7 or 8 win team, and that will put them too late to get a top QB.

This is true; Jeff Fisher won a lot of games with a worse QB than Shaun Hill in Tennessee. However, the Rams are one of the few teams who don't have their guy in place.

Buffalo: they'll probably give Manuel a couple of years to prove whether he's their guy.
Philly: unless Foles' play just absolutely plummets this year, they probably won't start over w/ a rook.
Denver: will probably win too many games to trade up that far for a QB-of-the-future, and they wanna win now.
Saints: ditto
Pats: ditto
Arizona: easily a better team than the Rams & might even contend for the division
Jags: just drafted Bortles

...So the teams who probably need a young QB the most are the Buccs, Texans, Raiders, Vikings, Jets & Rams (and possibly Titans depending on how Locker works out this year). So it might just be a matter of which team wants to trade the most in order to move up & get one of those guys. The Rams probably won't lose 11 or 12 games this year, but they might still be in a position to move up and grab a QB.
