What else needs to be said except...

TANK CARRADINE PLAYED TODAY!!! Almost had a sack too. Hoping to see him more & more as the season goes on.

Random thoughts:

Kaepernick had an amazing game despite the fumble.

Crabtree looks like he's gotten worse all year. He came up w/ a big catch on 4th down, but he's becoming pretty forgettable in the offense.

The OL played great. Excellent game from all 5 except Davis' screw-up for the sack. Marcus Martin played really well.

Quentin Dial is not a good NT. Should be a depth guy at DE. He has the weirdest stance I've ever seen from a DL too. Looks like he's taking dump instead of playing football. Had a sack though, which is nice.

Nice performance by Culliver. He's been playing at a high level lately IMO.

Brooks redeemd himself late, but right after I said "at least he hasn't been off sides" he goes off sides. :banghead:

Lynch is the man.

I'm excited to see this team w/ Aldon back.

Agreed, Crabtree is not showing much. And what a horrendous day for Anquon. Yikes. Vernon still MIA, not passed to McDonald.

That was about as unimaginative an offense as I have seen in awhile. Roman seems to be channeling Jimmy Raye: run when they expect run, pass when they expect pass, ignore the blitz and hope for the best. And totally ignoring their disabled and/or undrafted rookie DB on the right side. I think we tried one moderately deep pass against those guys and that was it.

Nice runs by Hyde, he deserves more carries. Looks like we are planning to wear out Frank again.

Great job by the D, too bad the O is on the bottom of the league.

If Crabtree and Vernon could get into gear combined with some good pass blocking from the offensive line the offense would be pretty scary.

Still seem to struggle making adjustments in for the 2nd half. The offense will play great for a half seems like they can't adjust to the adjustments that defenses make during halftime.

All in all I like the response from the team. It was a tough and frustrating loss last week and they shook it off and played much better.

Great game. I like exactly how it went. Brees had a chance and didn't come through. Obviously, had he come through I would've been upset with not scoring on our first possession of overtime. But to have it happen the way it did and have a ref call the right call at the end of regulation, perfect.

That was an amazing throw by Colin on that 4th and 10.. I don't think anyone else in this league can make that throw

Boldin dropping passes was very strange. VD is just not right, not sure is healthy. Crabs is just having a bad season in his contract year too. I would love to see McDonald more involved in the passing game. Niners are the only team in the league with no offensive TD in the 4th quarter (with their first team)....I guess depending on how bad the injury is to Ellington, we will see Patton next week.

From Crabtrees comments after the game about being a third down receiver maybe hes pouting like Moss when hes not the first option.

Kap had a strong game...

our run game was fantastic....

but boy did we get real lucky on a lot breaks..... got to put up pts to give our defense some damn leeway.

Reid needs to step up, he was caught watching 2x IIRC... can't let that happen.

Man we really missed out on the WR talent in this draft.

Reid was responsible for Ward getting beat on that TD by Cooks...Reid was supposed to roll over and help.

Again. Niners just suck at evaluating and/or developing wr except proven vets. They need to bring someone in to help with that.

By the way, a lot of people are freaking out about Vernon. I'm not the least bit worried about him. I know what the guy can do. He's had a bad year so far. That sucks, but he's still a great player.

Both those guys went ahead of Ward. Way ahead of Ward. It would have cost Ward and Hyde to get Cooks. Markedly more to get ODB. Does anyone think we'd actually take advantage of Cooks anyway?

Hoping Vernon breaks out vs. the Giants on Sunday. He's had some big games against them in the past.
