BILL PARCELLS ON MIKE AND MIKE
He said that "Colin Kaepernick does not have a real good supporting cast."

Re: BILL PARCELLS ON MIKE AND MIKE
Will try to track that down and listen to it. VD has been banged up and useless, and the o-line's struggled majorly. But he's got a ton of talent compared to most teams. Gore's still playing at a very high level. When he comes off the field Hyde is one of the better fill-ins around and would be starting on most teams. WR corp includes 3 viable 1,000 yd receivers. Missing a homerun deep threat, but any good/great QB would have success with the pieces in place as they are right now. He only hits guys that are wide open, and puts way too much heat on short passes in tighter coverage. His touch on the outside passes was actually getting better, but hasn't shown any ability to take heat off the shorter throws a lot of the time which could be done if he had a better feel for the game. The drops have been a killer, but they've probably been around 50/50 on QB and WR. Sorry just not buying it at all. The offense has been Botox injected with talent, and all teams must work around some injuries.

I don't think there's many players on that offense who have played well, but if Kaepernick is missing open guys because he's not reading the field correctly then he's part of the problem.

Re: BILL PARCELLS ON MIKE AND MIKE
The offense is completely busted on all levels which is why Kap is not absolved from any blame but he's also getting more blame than he deserves.
But thus is the life of a QB in that you'll always get more credit than you deserve when things go well and more blame than you deserve when things go badly.

If Crabtree, Boldin, Johnson, Davis, and Gore are bad support, imagine when it was Crabtree, Davis, and Gore? Everyone is a problem when the offense is bad, but people place it on the QB. When it's good, credit most often goes to the QB and people ignore the threats.

Re: BILL PARCELLS ON MIKE AND MIKE
I dont necessarily agree with Parcells either, yes we are missing a vertical threat at WR, but the supporting cast around Kap is good..The major problem, and I am sure most would agree is the way Kap is being used. He is not a pocket passer who should be operating out of a traditional offense. The Pistol is the way to go.

Re: BILL PARCELLS ON MIKE AND MIKE
Kaepernick makes people around him worse. Its that simple.
He has horrible pocket presence so he sometimes creates pressure where there isn't any. These can lead the olinemen not sure where to block when he's scrambling around back there.
He misses open receivers consistently. Because we cant throw the ball with much accuracy, teams dare us to pass which puts more pressure on the oline and running game.

I mentioned in another post what Trent Dilfer and Cris Carter had to say, and now Jerry Rice has also chimed in. He believes, like they do, that the 49ers are not using Kap correctly. And he also wonders why they are abandoning the running game, especially when it starts working for them. Case in point: Against the Raiders, Gore was averaging 5.3 ypc and Rombaugh thought it was a great idea to become pass happy at that point.

Richard Sherman quoted on the Niners offense, on what worries him about that offense: "Honestly, nothing."
Many here admit that we do not have a speedy WR. We also do not have a homerun RB or now a TE. We have nothing that scares a defense, thus they can play us very tight with impunity and there is nothing we can do. And this season has proven it. Get some speed and get someone who knows how to use it.
