The Jim Harbaugh appreciation thread

Post#1 » by RIPskaterdude » Mon Dec 29, 2014 1:17 am

Since it's official...

[tweet]https://twitter.com/MaioccoCSN/status/549370911309058048[/tweet]

Just wanted to thank the man who took us to 3 straight NFCC games and 1 Super Bowl, and probably should have 2 or 3 rings right now if it wasn't for a certain Williams and terrible play calling in the end zone. Hope he goes to Michigan instead of looking us look stupid in the NFL by turning around another team.

Thanks Jim and good luck.

Should have Ditched Baalke and Kept Harbs but Thanks Jim for bringing the winning back for a few years. Please go to Michigan and dont go to the Raiders and take them to a ring.

Thank you Jim!!!!

There was times I didn't agree with you or got on you for whatever...

But we faithful know how much you done for us and brought us back to contention...

Shame our organization leaders overlooked it for their pettiness

I'll always root for the guy. Heck, I rooted for him when he was a Colt.

Glad this drama didn't drag out......it isn't a secret Harbs has a personality that wears on people. York made the hire....he had to know this outcome was possible. We'd probably be at the same place even if we beat the Ravens.....IMHO.

But we'd be 6-0 in Superbowls. :D

More details will sure come out but the whole story, like every other relationship that's been formed in the NFL, will never be understood fully, which is unfortunate because opinions will continue to be formed on all parties and men will continue to be judged without us ever hearing all components to what was going on for the last several years.

I see two paths here.....

1) Harbs goes to Michigan and comes back to the NFL someday...maybe when LA gets a team.

2) He's playing everyone to get more money from someone. He did it to us when he got the Niners job by flirting with Miami. Less likely this time but possible.

Love the guy! Hard to believe he is gone after one bad year. I realize there is both sides to this story but it's a shame this couldn't be worked out.

Hands down the most exciting 3 years ever! Heartbreaking finishes. I'll blame Roman as well.

I will not miss the play clock issues and press conference shtick tho.

Sucks we may never know the reason for this ending.

Sure hope that gore is back and smith/boldin stick around for another year.

Fangio can stay.

Kubiak and Payton?

I would take Payton as HC and Rex Ryan as DC but it will never ever happen......

The stats don't lie....

8 years before Harbaugh era: 46 wins, 0 playoff appearances, 1 season .500 or better
4 years with Harbaugh: 44 wins, 3 playoff appearances, 5 playoff wins, 4 seasons .500 or better.

Michigan is going to get one hell of a coach. I have no doubts that he can make that team a powerhouse in 3 years time. As for the Niners I'm not sure where we go from here, but man does xxx have big shoes to fill.

The only thing I'll say about the divorce is this, most columnists have said the leaks this year about Harbaugh losing the team, being gone etc, have obviously all come from the front office, during the year baalke and Jed left Harbaugh to answer front office and leadership questions about Ray MacDonald and the terrible field at the new stadium. Despite his flaws Harbaugh deserved better treatment than that and I'm grateful to him and 100% certain his replacement won't be an upgrade except in coaching.
