Analysis
Strengths Good definition through upper body. Long legs that eat up space downfield. Good enough with downfield route-running. Possesses eye-catching second gear to separate in space. Plays bigger than listed size. Aggressive, effective run blocker. Doesn't fear the middle of the field. Adjusts well to low throws. Creates additional space with smart hand usage at top of routes. Can throttle down and get feet down near sideline. High-pointer with necessary body control. Will adjust routes to benefit quarterback. Has feel to negotiate traffic after the catch. NFL bloodlines. Father "Flipper" Anderson played for 10 years as an NFL WR.
Weaknesses Has issues getting off of press coverage. Doesn't get separation on short and intermediate work when corners squat on him. Nothing special about his short-area quickness. Inconsistent hands when challenged and will default to body-catching underneath. Had alarming drops rate over last two seasons (18.6 percent). Coming off of season-ending knee injury. Takes a while to gear up. Lacks lateral explosion and wiggle to be consistently effective with runs after catch.

Bottom Line Must work on becoming a reliable pass-catcher since he doesn't have the explosive traits for teams to overlook inconsistent hands. Anderson flashes great play speed when the ball is in the air and has the intangibles to become a good backup with low-end starting potential.

YES!!! There's my Ute! I'd rather have Eric Rowe, Orchard, or Poutasi at their rightful draft position, but as an UDFA, this is great. (Clay would have been good undrafted, too.)

I watched his hilights as well, and he had a lot of long TDs... When I dug a little deeper it sounded like he had some weight issues heading into the draft process that he never addressed?

Squattier, thicker receiver that has some power and doesn't go down really easy. They never asked him to run a bunch of different routes and quite a few of his catches came underneath where it was one (quick) move, find a hole, boom, catch, and then try to make something happen by out running a worse athlete or shaking a worse athlete off after a poor tackle attempt or by using his power.

A number of the deep balls I made note on were made when the defender had horrible positioning or didn't play the ball right and he was able to come back and make an easy catch and then try to out run the lesser athlete. I didn't see a ton of functional separation that's going to work for him against better athletes.

What also didn't help him was a number of his deep chances were on under thrown/inaccurate balls and he did have to slow down on some to make the catch and then again try to out-physical his man or hope that there was a poor tackle attempt, which often there was. Again, not something he can feast on in the NFL.

I did like the vision I saw on some of the underneath stuff. He is a plus there. Plus the build he has and the stature is intriguing as a possible position change to RB. Honestly, that's probably where I would ask to try him first because of his limitations and the vision and power he has in tighter spaces.

He showed up to his first pro day about 8 lbs or so heavier than his playing weight and got winded easy in workouts which made waves on a lot of draft sites. He ran slower than some wanted to see and then he had another pro day workout later on and I believe lost about 6-8 lbs and ran slightly better. I'd ask to see if it's easier for him to play at a heavier weight and then see if it would make sense to bulk him up a little bit more, but with more good weight, while continuing to work him as a running back.

The only downside to this is I don't think there'll be anything THAT special about him as a running back once he transitions into the feel of it and I could find a better guy to have around as a 3rd, 4th, or 5th back that does what I want my back up running backs to do.

So, to me, it's sort of a waste to go through all of that but if I were asked to come up with something that would be in his best interest, that's probably the direction I would go if he was open to it and I was still working with the information that I'm currently working with.

Brandon Bridge - QB - Cowboys

Cowboys signed South Alabama QB Brandon Bridge.

Bridge (6'4/229) spent just one year as South Alabama's starter, completing 52.1 percent of his throws with a 15:8 TD-to-INT ratio and four rushing scores. Although not a dynamic runner, Bridge is a plus athlete with 4.72 speed and a 33-inch vertical. Bridge drew pre-draft praise from NFL Films' Greg Cosell for his live arm and ability to drive the ball with velocity. He's also a quick-twitch mover in the pocket, but has highly erratic ball placement and touch, and wasn't a very good quarterback at a lower-level college. Bridge is a project who will likely max out as a camp arm.

Austin Hill - WR - Seahawks

Seahawks signed Arizona WR Austin Hill.

Hill (6'2/214) looked like a future first-round pick when he recorded an 81-1,364-11 receiving line as a redshirt sophomore, but missed his entire junior year with a severe knee injury and managed a 49-635-4 number as a senior. He ran 4.57/4.62 at his Pro Day with a 36 1/2-inch vertical and 10-foot-1 broad jump. A big, physical slot receiver who will struggle to win outside in the NFL, Hill could become a poor man's Jordan Matthews if he regains pre-injury form. He did test relatively well before the draft, and impressed observers at the East-West Shrine.

La'El Collins - T - Player

Jameis Winston is reportedly "pushing hard" for LSU T/G La'El Collins to join the Buccaneers.

Better than both Donovan Smith and Ali Marpet, Collins would be a huge addition to Tampa Bay's roster. Coach Lovie Smith also has a long track record of taking chances on players with "off-field concerns," although we're not sure there are even any off-field concerns with Collins. Per Yahoo's Rand Getlin, Winston has called Collins "multiple times" in the last 24 hours.

La'El Collins - T - Tigers

LSU OL La'El Collins had dinner with Bills HC Rex Ryan on Monday and is next scheduled to meet with Dolphins brass.

There are 30 others head coaches ready to get in front of Collins after Joe Philbin makes his pitch. The Baton Rouge Advocate reports that Collins has received interest from "almost every" team since the conclusion of the draft. We're only surprised by the word "almost." Collins can receive no more than the max UDFA signing bonus of just under $100,000, meaning that, assuming he is cleared in the death of his ex-girlfriend, his next destination is going to come down to a straight college recruitment. There might not be an NFL team that wouldn't start Collins from Day 1. He was Rotoworld's No. 1 OL prospect and would have gone in mid-Round 1 had the murder case not unfolded in the day's leading up to the draft.

This kid was supposed to be the best WR that came out of that powerhouse high school in which Marquise Lee, Robert Woods, and Nelson Agholor attended. Injuries has derailed his collegiate career, and now he is finally getting the opportunity to make a name for himself.

George Farmer - WR - Cowboys

Cowboys signed USC WR George Farmer to a contract that includes $55,000 guaranteed.

The $55K is exorbitant for a UDFA and suggests a surprisingly hot market. Farmer (6'1/220) entered USC as a five-star recruit, but fell short of expectations and endured an injury-riddled redshirt junior campaign before surprisingly turning pro. He finished his college career with just 30 catches for 363 yards and four TDs. Farmer put himself on the NFL map by running 4.35 at the Trojans' Pro Day, though he reportedly dropped a ton of passes in positional drills. Purely a H/W/S project, Farmer has Greg Little written all over him.

Kind of a unique situation with La'el Collins. If I were the Niners, I would have called his bluff and used a 7th on him. If he wants to wait a year and re-declare for the draft, fine. At least it keeps him away from other clubs for that year.

This has the potential to be like the addition of Antonio Gates or Cameron Wake: an impact player who a team lucks into without costing a draft pick. I really hope we're making a push for him.

Jermaine Whitehead - DB - 49ers

49ers signed Auburn S Jermaine Whitehead.

Whitehead (5'11/197) was a three-year starter in the Tigers' secondary, amassing nine INTs and contributing on special teams throughout his college career. Although Whitehead ran 4.59 at the Combine, he excelled in the vertical (37") and broad (10'8") jumps and was a top performer in the three-cone and shuttle drills. A quick-twitch mover who holds his own in run support, Whitehead's draft stock was affected by clashes with the Auburn coaching staff, his smallish build for a safety and questionable on-field instincts.

Well, maybe with new WR coaches we can actually develop some young WRs for a change. That would be refreshing: to get impact from the position that didn't come from players who were developed elsewhere. It's crazy just to think about it.

La'El Collins - T - Player

LSU G/T La'El Collins wants to sign with a team that will allow him to play tackle.

Collins is drawing heavy interest after going undrafted last weekend. The Baton Rouge Police should clear Collins' name in the murder of his ex-girlfriend shortly, allowing Collins to sign with a team. Playing tackle will help maximize his earnings on a second contract since he won't be getting paid much the first two years in the league. The Dolphins would seem to be longshots to land Collins with this news, being that they already have LT Branden Albert and RT Ja'Wuan James.

Austin Hill - WR - Free Agent

Updating a previous item, the Seahawks did not sign UDFA WR Austin Hill after he failed his physical.

Hill went undrafted in large part due to college medical concerns, and clearly still isn't healthy. It's unfortunate after Hill flashed big-time promise during his time at the University of Arizona, particularly as a sophomore (81-1,364-11).

Michael Dyer - RB - Raiders

Raiders signed Louisville RB Michael Dyer.

Dyer (5'9/218) entered college as a five-star recruit and emerged as a starter for national-champion Auburn as a true freshman. His career spiraled oddly and wildly from there, bouncing around several colleges before finally landing at Louisville, where Dyer managed a 110-481-5 rushing line as a senior, splitting carries with Brandon Radcliff and Dominique Brown. Dyer had a pedestrian Combine, running 4.58 with a 34-inch vertical and 10-foot broad jump. Turning 25 in October, Dyer is an overaged, mercurial prospect who looked ordinary in 2014. His commitment to and passion for the game are obvious question marks.
