Keith Reaser

Post#1 » by Pattersonca65 » Sun Jun 7, 2015 4:31 pm

As a break from the gloom and doom, I know it is just OTAs, but I've read a good number of reports from different sources and all of them have singled out Reaser about how good he looked. My one concern is with Tramaine Brock. It appears he hasn't done anything this year yet. I am wondering whether he has lingering injuries from last year or whether they are just being cautious.

If Brock doesn't get healthy and quick then he is at risk of losing his spot and getting cut. These youngsters are hungry and talented.

I was excited about Brock, the kid played with excellent technique and he was hungry. However, ever since earning the starting job and getting an extension, he hasn't been healthy. That bugs me a bit.

I've been on the Reaser bandwagon since last year. I want to know the guy's true height.
Just from those two links alone he fluctuates from 5'9 to 5'10 to 6'0

NFL draft scout is pretty accurate in my experience, and they've got him at 5'10 3/4". I'd definitely go with them over rotoworld, which is probably going with how he was listed in college. NFL.com's combine page, which would be "official," but doesn't go into eighths, has him at 5'10".

True, he's definitely not shrinking so he's going to be at or over the listed height at his pro day.

Acker, who stands 6-feet tall like Reaser, agreed that he's not approaching the offseason with nerves.

I guess I'm just being overly optimistic thinking that Reaser has grown an inch and a half since his pro day.

It will be fun seeing what these guys can do. I was impressed watching Aker play in preaseason last year. Looking forward to seeing what they can do in extended action. If things go right, this could still be a really good defense next year. I read one article that said Harold looked better than both Lemonier and Brooks in OTAs. Not surprised on Lemonier. Just wasn't impressed watching him early last year. Lynch looked better with no prior NFL experience.

Nothing against Dontae Johnson, but I sorta liked the Reaser and Acker picks much better when they were made. Especially at the spot where we got them. I like Johnson's size/speed combo, but Reaser and Acker's lateral quickness and instincts are far more superior to Johnson's IMO. Having said that, I hope all three of them excel and develop to be stud players for us. The Lord knows we need some good news since we haven't experienced any for at least 16 months now.
