At all. He was saying he looked like a guy who probably wouldn't even dress on game day this season.

So basically he was saying what I said about the guy all offseason. Yay.

The good news just keeps on coming. :banghead:

Yep, from the reports I've read, Armstead didn't look good. Armstead is a project. That draft pick was a head scratcher for me but I am not going to rehash all that again.

Except that every single mock (at least on NFL.com & ESPN) had us picking Armstead.

I was 100% against the pick from the get go, but as days counted down to the draft, Armstead was looking more and more like a foregone conclusion. It haunted me at the time, but now I'm trying to be an Armstead supporter even though it's so damn hard when you have zero faith in the guy and think he's the next Kentwan Balmer/ReggieMcGrew/Keith DeLong.

This is one reason why I wasn't a fan of the Armstead pick.

Why not just continue to develop Okoye instead of using a 1st round pick on a raw project that you probably won't see a return on until year 3.

That pick would've been much better served on using it on a CB or trading up to get a player with even more impact.

Saw the first half last night, crappy Houston feed on the nfl network though in today's standards lol...

I really hope n pray that Kap n Smith get connected soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that deep ball can be there every freaking sunday!

defensively I saw weak guys, no pass rush but I must hold myself cuz its preseason and expect the vanilla play. But individually, nothing surprising IMO.

Didn't see Armstead yet but I don't need to in order to validate the error in selecting him that early.

Totally agree. I don't understand picking a project Dlineman in the first round when the dline is probably the team's deepest unit. I am rooting for him, but if Armstead busts, Baalke has alot of explaining to do.

Why is Martin not starting center with Thomas at RG?
