No but he ain't no Sanchez.

This franchise has a lot of problems now and QB is the least of it.

What are you gonna do, start Gabbert or start a rookie?

Or bring in a dead end like Sanchez?

It's easy to pick apart his faults but you have not posed a viable alternative.

You're right. He's not as good as Sanchez (who also came close to winning a couple of Super Bowls by the way).

I'm sorry, but you simply don't understand NFL football. It's that simple. Plenty of people used to say the same thing about Vince Young when he was winning games, but they were utterly clueless. VY sucked; Kaepernick sucks. The sooner you admit this to yourself, the less silly you'll look.

Next year? Depends on the rook. If he's ready, throw him in there. If not, start Gabbert until he's ready. Either way, the team needs to get a QB currently playing in college to be the starting QB ASAP.

If you're going to hang your hat on Sanchez, you're the one who doesn't understand NFL football.

He doesn't even have good arm strength.

Which two Super Bowls did Mark Sanchez almost win?

Forget Sanchez. Don't want him. If we are going to start another QB, just start Gabbert and look to draft another QB next year. We don't need Mr Butt Fumble

Sickness, other than addition by subtraction (Kaep being gone is plus enough, etc.), what would you think of a Kaepernick for Cutler trade? (Add fillers on either end if needed.) I saw it suggested somewhere. I never liked Cutler, but feel that he'd do better right now under this team. I won't make claims about our previous teams with better coaching, etc.

To me it makes no sense. Just drop Kaepernick and move on. Why get rid of Kaepernick and then take on another crappy contract? There is a reason why Chicago might want to deal Cutler. Plus the guy is a statue. He is going to get hammered playing behind this line. Just play Gabbert and draft a QB next year.

Agree. Either keep Kaepernick if he does what he needs to (leaving this equivocal - insert whatever level of play that is) or cut him. His contract is a team friendly one.
