They also didn't play motivated.
Chummy after each plays, patting Lynch for making a good play.
Offense, too many times linemen standing around, not finishing blocks. It's one thing to get beaten but it's another not to sustain effort.
Boldin not running hard on routes or working back when Kap was scrambling. He was hobbled and I guess his cousin was killed. If that's the case, play someone else.
Players may say they like Tomsula but they're not all balling out for him, it appears.

These guys don't look prepared or engage. That's on the coaches

@PFF_NateJahnke: Richard Sherman lined up on the same side as Torrey Smith on all 42 of Smith's snaps. Smith had 0 catches on 1 target.
That would impress me more if all our WRs hadn't combined for four receptions for 41 yards

As bad as it was, it was better than last year.

it is worse than last year....last year was paradise compared to this laxadaisacal play...Niners looked like they were playing a friendly scrimmage. no heart no fire. it's like the team knows the coaches and the front office are the nfl's biggest joke.

Re: Official GDT:Seahawks Vs 49ers
Yeah it remains to be seen how much of a motivator Tomsula is.
When he had that disastrous first press conference and interview, a lot of people blew it off, like it's not important to what a coach does.
But head coaches are giving little impromptu speeches to the team both before, during and after games, to get the players rev'd up.
I think during the Packers game, the TV guys said that they're still playing for Tomsula, that he hasn't lost the team after the blowout losses.
But if they see criticisms of the coaching in social media and gradually, the local media will start to come down on the coaching deficiencies, they may let up, maybe even unconsciously, thinking these coaches are lame ducks. So no need to ball out, since there will be new coaches to impress next season.
This mentality may have taken hold last year too, since the speculation about Harbaugh being let go was rampant throughout the season.
