I certainly wouldn't contribute my money to a futile effort but I don't think it's jealousy. There is fan anger with the state of the team and the owner is ultimately responsible

I liked it from the standpoint that it just keeps up the negative press thus ramping up the pressure on him to fix things.

We always say put your money where your mouth is and that's what people have been doing by not showing up to games and doing things like paying for a banner to fly over the stadium

Clearly he's not going to sell the team or change his role but by not showing dissatisfaction with the team it would be making it far easier to to keep the status quo and not doing anything.

Apparently the 49ers called the airport, claiming the banner was a security issue, and wanted the plane grounded. That went nowhere.
