Tre Mason is killing it today. Granted it's against the Raiders, but he's bern picking up steam lately.

Justin Gilbert fans, where are you on his progress? He's being benched for Pierre Desir/Buster Skrine. Whitner called his rookie season wasted. The guy IMO needs to play safety, just like Ward

He got called out on his work ethic. Didn't put in enough time in the film room and on the practice field. That's not gonna cut it in the NFL, and I was a huge fan of his.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12087 ... osh-gordon

Both of these knuckleheads (Gordon & Manziel) were absent for the walk through yesterday; led to Gordon's suspension. The team had trouble locating them.

QBs deserve a few years before they're labelled a bust (even the ones who suck as badly as Manziel), but this guy is going full steam ahead towards bustville. :D

My guy Connor Shaw isn't having a bad first game. Especially against the Ravens.

If Martavis Bryant can play with this kind of confidence all the time, he's going to be unstoppable.

If he were on the Raiders, he'd be the #1 receiver; so I think he' might have more production.

Cooks is in the perfect offense for him, but he's also perfect for that offense.

I disagree. Drew Brees has a lot to do with his success. Why is Cooks any different than Tavon Austin? He is couple inches taller and thats it. Both are explosive. But one BIG difference. One has Drew Brees, the other has Austin Davis. End of discussion.

Bump for the Sith lord agreeing with me on this one. Belichick on Brandin Cooks:

"I'm glad we don't have to play him twice a year and he's not in our division," Belichick said, via The Times-Picayune. "He's a really good player."

It's going to be interesting to see Tavon Austin's production this year compared to Brandin Cooks'...

The Pats have the worst secondary I've ever seen on paper this year.

Man Brandin Cooks must have a Fico score of like 305 because he simply can't get any credit.

I don't get what point of your bump was. No one said Cooks isn't any good.

That said, Tavon Austin has definitely disappointed. Thought he'd make a much bigger impact in the NFL.

I'm going to take that back. I'm preparing for the fantasy football season and I'm realizing the Raiders will be the worst secondary defending the pass this year. The Raiders at least have Khalil Mack coming off the edge though.

Kind of weird to bump this old thread, but something's been bugging me for 2 years...

Remember Tennessee Vols' OL James Stone? He went undrafted last year. Literally nobody else on planet earth was talking about this guy, and I started to think he was a figment of my imagination. He's now the #1 backup interiour OL for the Falcons.

Not exactly the next Larry Allen, but that's pretty great for an UDFA in year 2. If memory serves, I think he even got some significant playing time last year.

I get really frustrated when I think about this guy. He was there for the taking! :banghead: Not as frustrated as I get when I think about La'El Collins, but I still get really frustrated.

So what do people think about Jadaveon Clowney at this point? Is he getting back to his old self after his nasty injury?

He has 4.5 sacks this year, but I keep reading about what a terror he's been on defense this season. Is that legit?

He's had a string of bad luck. Has yet to be 100% healthy as a pro. They should have put him on IR last year much earlier. He missed the majority of training camp and has been playing at 90% all year. No, he's no terror as of yet. But this offseason could prove why he was so coveted as a pass rusher. If / when he gets fully healthy that Texans defense will be scary good.

I've highlighted where I was right in this thread, but it's time to eat some crow where I was wrong.

I said Mike Mayock was trying to get too cute when he said Mack was better than Clowney (which is weird because I thought he was really good the last few years). We haven't really seen Clowney at full strength yet, but it looks like Mayock was right.

Well done Mikey.
