Ah I see...I've never actually watched a CFL game in my entire life so I figured the rules where the same...maybe I was confused with the double motion that's allowed in the CFL and the allowance of the forward motion in arena? Meh...let's hope he's something special...looks big and has great hands.

You are not confused. Forward motion is allowed in the CFL from the slotbacks. WRs that start from behind the line of scrimmage and are allowed to have a running start. I have even seen two slotbacks on the same side of the field with a running head start and no WR lined up on the ball. Rogers played a lot of slotback.

I apologize then. I'm still excited they got a guy that seemed so hot and several teams wanted.

Not sure he's a burner...he's fast, but is he quick?...time will tell I suppose.

They signed him...

Colin Kelly - T - 49ers

49ers signed OL Colin Kelly.

An undrafted free agent out of Oregon State in 2014, Kelly spent his rookie season on the Chiefs' injured reserve with a knee injury. He played at right tackle for the Ottawa Redblacks last season. The 26-year-old was signed after going through a short workout with the 49ers in late December. Kelly also had interest from the Browns, Vikings and Eagles.

Now Baalke probably figures that both WR and OL have been shored up with these CFL'ers, so he won't have to address those positions in the draft and can allocate most of the picks for safeties and guys with blown out knees.

there is no reason the believe we are treating either of these guys like franchise saving signings. At the moment they are depth but we won't pass on a franchise T just because we signed a CFL guy.

Good, as our management has proven they cannot draft one.
