This kid would have been an All-American player had he stayed in the Florida State Seminoles program:
Kain Daub - LB - Owls
FAU added JUCO transfer LB Kain Daub, a former five-star recruit.
Daub played in eight games last season at ASA College at the JUCO level. He joins other transfers brought in by Lane Kiffin during year one, including ex-Pitt defensive lineman Jeremiah Telani and former Seminoles quarterback DeAndre Johnson. Daub will be allowed to practice immediately.

Josh Rosen - QB - Bruins
UCLA junior QB Josh Rosen said, "[R]aise the SAT requirement at Alabama and see what kind of team they have."
The above quote is one of the hot ones from Rosen's one-on-one interview with Bleacher Report's Matt Hayes, but he offered plenty of context for it. Said the junior gunslinger, "No one in their right mind should have a football player’s schedule, and go to school. It’s not that some players shouldn’t be in school; it’s just that universities should help them more—instead of just finding ways to keep them eligible." He explained that "[t]rying to do both is like trying to do two full-time jobs."

I love this. He hit the nail directly on the head. I'm not sure how many college players we have on here but in my experience, it's right on the money.

Why would he shut up? Is Alabama gonna suspend him?
He's right about the SAT thing and the 2-full-time-jobs thing. It's just that Alabama players haven't actually shown up for the other job in decades.

Tack this onto the marijuana possession from mid May. Was accused of sexual assault in 2016 but was not deemed to be responsible for it.

I'm starting to warm up to the idea of Sam Darnold a little more after watching some more of his games. With questions about Rosen's personality, it's tough to say which one will be better at this point...

Don't talk about other programs' issues. Why even mention the name Alabama? I assumed that he's smart enough to make that same impactful statement without needing to put a school on the spotlight, by making a general statement. Instead of a school say something like "various programs". He could have said the same message without being so direct and calling out a program. It's not or wouldn't be such a big deal, had it been another player. If you are familiar with Rosen's past then you would understand my position with this issue.
Bringing unwarranted attention to yourself that you had no business getting into is not an intelligent thing for him to do IMO. Especially when all throughout his career and especially during this offseason he's been labeled or there's an existing perception of him being a prima donna. His brash personality, him bumping head with coaches, and several little off the field incidents (He and and some friends rearranged a neighbor's lawn ornaments in sexually suggestive positions--and just plain poor judgement. Since arriving at UCLA he has set off a social media firestorm over presidential politics, deleted at least one provocative Instagram post and been forced to apologize to the school. The coach constantly asking Rosen whom he wants to be: Peyton Manning or Johnny Manziel")
Instead of laying low and experience a relatively quiet season in terms of "the off the field issues" to repair his image, he wants to throw 'Bama under the bus. If it's a tie between he, Allen, and Darnold in the evaluation process when the draft season comes along, I can see a team pass on him solely because of these issues. Not knowing when to shut up.

Sam Darnold - QB - Trojans
Stanford HC David Shaw compared USC redshirt sophomore QB Sam Darnold to former Cardinal QB Andrew Luck.
"He’s the best college quarterback I’ve seen at anticipating since Andrew Luck," Shaw said of the star USC quarterback. Shaw would know on the Luck front, having coached him up while serving as Stanford's offensive coordinator from 2007-2010. Darnold has the chops to follow in Luck's footsteps and land as the No. 1 overall selection next spring. "When you evaluate quarterbacks who can play at the next level," Shaw said, "you’re looking for guys who can see a play before it happens and get the ball out of their hands quick. He’s the best I’ve seen in years."

Tanner Lee - QB - Cornhuskers
Bleacher Report's Matt Miller writes that Nebraska redshirt junior QB Tanner Lee "has the tools."
"We haven’t really seen him yet, so size, arm strength, accuracy that you can see in practice are the things you get excited about," Miller said. Lee (6'4/220) transfer over to Nebraska from Tulane last year. He posted a 23/21 TD/INT ratio in two seasons with the Green Wave. Earlier this month, Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage referred to Lee as a "top NFL prospect" in either 2018 or 2019, depending on whether he jumps to the draft at the end of the coming campaign.

There's more talk about tanking, which is an unusual thing in the NFL.
Scam for Sam they call it.
He's being compared Andrew Luck as the best QB prospect in years.
Um, Luck hasn't exactly lit the league up. Is Darnold going to turn a team like the Jets into winners?
Best thing for Darnold would be to get on a team like the 49ers, with one of the top offensive minds in the game here.
But it seems Kyle may be more about pursuing Cousins after this season, rather than tank the season.

Sam Darnold is better than Luck. The problem with Luck has always been can he survive the NFL. Yeah, you he put a good lick on DBs in college, but coming over to the NFL everyone knew that wasn't going to happen.

I didn't even know that Ed Oliver was draft eligible. Maybe I did but I somehow confused the year he signed his letter of intent. Anyway, he's a better player than Wilkins.
EDIT: I just realized that this list isn't a top eligible 2018 draft prospects, but instead an overall assessment of the top college players of 2017-2018 season regardless of their class. In which case Dexter Lawrence should be ranked higher, and I don't even see Michigan's Rashan Gary who I think is the best DT in the entire nation.

Hey 1z, are you currently watching the Ohio State, Indiana game? J.K. Dobbins is proof that Saquan Barkley is not even the best running back in the Big 10 conference.

South Dakota State WR Jake Wieneke with 4 TD catches tonight vs. Duquesne and it's only the 3rd quarter.
He had 16 TDs last year and as a freshman (11 as a sophomore).

Must I keep repeating myself?
230lbs
Benches 225lb x30
Squats 600lbs
Power Cleans 405lbs
Runs a 4.33 40
Likely has a plus 40 in vert and 11 foot broad jump
Was PFF's most elusive RB last year
Had the most +15 yard runs according to PFF
Had the most targets without a drop for RBs according to PFF
He's the best RB in college and pros right now.

A top prospect who's a 49ers fan. Of course they're not going to get a chance to draft him or if they do get a chance, draft someone else.
Off the top of my head, Aaron Rodgers, DeAngelo Williams, Brandin Cooks ...
