5 INTs now.
What a disaster for McDermott

He's the first rookie QB with 3 INTs in the first quarter of his first start since 2002 (Patrick Ramsey). He's attempted 9 passes. Only 1 of them has gone for over 10 yards. Oy!
Make that 4 INTs now. 9:23 left in the 2nd quarter.
Five (5) interceptions in the first half for Peterman. Five. 35 seconds left.
Almost as many picks as completions (6).
Over half the way to the number of LeSean McCoy carries (9).
Buffalo only has 1 player with more tackles (6 - Poyer) than Peterman has picks (5).
Maybe I'm goofy, and sometimes I'm all for letting a kid learn things in hard times, but from what I've seen so far, I'm ending the kid's day. I'm not a Peterman fan - never was - but I'm at least letting the kid sit now for the rest of the day. The debate is fine whether you go back to him next week again or not. That's fine. But I'm sitting him the rest of the day based on what I've seen if I'm the coach with the call there. Not that one shouldn't get on that receiving group there for today either.

It's just a bad idea to go with a 5th round rookie QB when you're clinging to a playoff spot.
Tyrod wasn't amazing and I get that he's likely not on the team next season but I think you still had to go with him until your playoff chances were dead.

Just got done telling somebody and being ALMOST entirely serious that being the 5th or 6th seed in the AFC is not and would not be too much of an accomplishment IN MY MIND if I'm a fan of that team this year. Some people will say, "Yeah, just get in the tournament and anything can happen." Not buying it. Not going to happen in my mind.
Those early playoff games are likely going to have some bad, bad football being played barring some major surprises IMO. MAYBE the Chiefs can make it a little more interesting if they can figure some things out but like I said earlier, they are doing some ugly things right now that I wouldn't want to have to worry about correcting if I'm a coach. And not getting any of their reinforcements back either this year.

Re: Week 11: 49ers BYE Week (1-9)
My FAVORITE part of the day is now easy to pick, no question.
Joey Bosa effortlessly gets around a Jordan Mills block, hits Tyrod Taylor, slaps the ball out of his hand, Melvin Ingram in the right spot, picks it up and returns it for a TD.
Now the best part. EIGHT defensive starters collect in the endzone to pose for a team photo celebration with the photographers. Who didn't decide to go run and pose and look like a teenage fool? Yeah, Joey Bosa. Just the guy who made the play itself happen. Turned around and walked off the field with just a little shrug of the shoulders......unless something bigger wasn't shown.
If I hadn't seen the play itself and someone would've explained it to me there's no way that I wouldn't believe it. That's so Joey Bosa and so many/most NFL kids these days. Fitting.

I’m still standing firm in my belief that the Cowboys would have been better off had they drafted Bosa instead of Zeke. And then address the RB in 2017 (Fournette? Cook? Mixon? McCaffrey? Etc).

Joey Bosa + Rod Marinelli =

Now. Ezekiel the player? Really, really, really like. Maybe like as much as a guy can without loving him as an on-the-field player.
Ezekiel the person off the field?

Brandin Cooks absolutely torched the Raiders' DBs for a 64-yard TD today. So mad he's not a 49er.

The Nathan Peterman I saw with the Vols is still the same Nathan Peterman I know and laughed at as being one of the worst QBs I have ever had the misery of watching. I tried to tell Lance Zierlien but he wasn’t having it. Sorry DJ Jeremiah and Riddick but the guy sucks balls. Period.

And the Browns. Man. Stretch to say that they would have won, but down by 6 and they manage to take a 20-yard sack for a defensive TD. Unbelievable.
Their ability and creativity to find ways to lose, especially the last two seasons, is pretty special in a sick, sad way.
I needed to add the word "different" ways to lose. From week to week. It goes beyond typical losing.
I've never seen a team will itself to defeat the way they did in the late-season game against Pittsburgh last year. It was absolutely insane how hard they had to work to choke that game away.

Now Atlanta doing their damnedest to choke it away. Ugh.

WTF?!?!?! Seattle was about to run a play with seven seconds and no TOs, and ATLANTA calls a TO! Are you kidding me?

Oh man. Dan Quinn is so goddamn lucky Walsh was short on that. That TO was, without a doubt, the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Just don't let them in the endzone and you win.

7 seconds is enough time to throw a 5 yard pass to the sideline and get out of bounds.

Sometimes. Risk/reward thing. To me 5 yards isn't worth the risk in that situation even with Blair freaking Walsh as your kicker. People will say, "Yeah, but look at what 5 yards would've done there." Don't care. It's obviously one of those matter of opinion times, but it's not worth the risk in that situation. Not with that line and that quarterback. I also wouldn't get overly upset in this situation with anybody else who tells me I'm crazy but to me it wasn't worth it there.
