This a is a good look going forward.
Processing and decision making. It’s like a thousand times faster than Beathard.
Good ball placement and on-time passes too. Set up some YAC opportunities, which 49ers fans haven't seen in a long time.

His ability to move in the pocket and get the ball out quickly helped the o-line look better. If we can get him some weapons we may have something.
Accuracy other than a handful of throws was sniper like as well. One thing we didn’t get to see was the long ball.

The repetition will cure/fix the high throws so nothing to worry there IMO.

Is Fazio still the Bears DC?
Guess he didn't have keys on JG for his defensive players, like the way he used to have for Willis and Bowman.

so in your one game expert evaluation, do we need to draft rosen?

Looks like we finally found our QB.
Hopefully we can get him some weapons in the offseason.

Kyle is the one calling the plays as well as in charge of building this roster.
So apparently doesn't care about draft position.
If anybody thought there was any doubt about this, they need to get away from their TVs, walk out their front door, and never watch football again.
Exactly. They aren’t trying to Tank.
I’m just evil and hope they lose despite their efforts. Draft greed in me because I feel 100% they are gonna trade down. So we need the highest pick possible to rape QB needy teams looking to move up.
I've come to grips and to an understanding with what many fans tend to wish for in positions like this one. I get it. It used to make me angrier when I'd see fans go there in November/December. Not going to lie that a part of me doesn't go there in specific situations lately now, too.
I don't usually address it anymore with fans but this time it struck me when I saw a comment suggesting a COACH would/might care about draft position more than a win. Or that thought might actually come up mid game or at end of game. Blows my mind. Sorry.

Last year we had no plan in place. Getting a high draft pick was more important.
This year the 49ers are laying down their foundation, I want to see them get as many wins as they can. We already have more rookies playing than any team in the NFL.

Bigger picture than just today. Look at what he's had to work with this season. Blah!
Smaller picture. Look at what he had to work with today (and recently). His players on IR: LBs Leonard Floyd, Jerrell Freeman, Willie Young, and Isaiah Irving. S Quintin Demps. He also lost Pernell McPhee mid-game.
Living where I do I kind of have somewhat of an informed opinion on his defense this year, and I'm a bit of a Fangio guy so I've tended to follow him over the years as well but I also don't think it's been one of his better years coaching despite the lack of bodies. Or it hasn't been one of my favorite years for his career is maybe a better way of putting it.
But yes, please recognize what he had to work with and what he's had to work with now given everything this year.

In this case though, Kyle has a big say, maybe the main say, on personnel decisions.
So I'm sure he's thinking about team needs and would recognize that the higher the draft position, the better chance they would have to address those roster needs.
Now, maybe he's more focused on game planning and management from week to week and doesn't want to put on his personnel hat until after the season.
But if one of the objectives for this game was to get JG a lot of snaps in his system and start to compile film of him operating with this offense and personnel, that goal was achieved whether or not they made that last FG.
He may or may not regret that they don't have a higher draft position come next April (or whenever they hold the draft these days).

Re: Week 13: 49ers (1-10) at Bears (3-8)
What I absolutely loved in this game is the 3rd down conversions. It's not like they were 3rd and 2 but 3rd and long and they managed to convert a number of those. It's felt like it's been years that we've seen a 9ers offense be a legitimate threat to convert on 3rd and long and not just practically give up trying to convert it. I've just been so tired of seeing check down passes to the RB, delayed handoffs to the RB, screens, or throwing it to the WR who has to get 4 yards for the 1st down marker and has to beat two defenders to get it.
JG was impressive but I'm not going to anoint him for beating a not very good Bears team and one missing players on defense. But what I saw I liked considering it's not like he's working with a custom JG playbook and it's not like he's surrounded by talent. I feel the final 3 games will be a decent look to see he's really at as a QB.

Re: Week 13: 49ers (1-10) at Bears (3-8)
JG just left you the comfortable feeling that he'll be ok. After the first few plays of the game, I was more focused on the play development than in the pocket. He just gave you a sense of security and even felt his throws were going to the right places...
now there'll be real challenges like teams with better pass rushes in the future but game by game here. We're looking at the 2018 season to make our run for legitimacy.

He looked great I've been watching this team since Steve young remember Jeff Garcia Jim drunkenmiller Giovanni carmazzi over Tom Brady so I've been with this squad
Jimmy g looked great in the pocket mobile pocket poise accurate didn't see the big arm but he showed me everything on one play against Seattle I'm a quarterback expert you can see the zip on that throw now I'll call him the franchise and I'll see that this week when he has to play the baddest man in football in clowney best quarterback we had since kaepernick.
Probably in the draft would be smart to draft saquan Barkley I don't care I want best player available.
