If Jimmy G really tore ACL it's season over.Another losing season watching CJ being sacked after losing more than 4 sec looking for receivers that can't make a separation or find open spots making every defense like league best. And with our OLine we can't expect much protection for CJ.So we'll be limited to a running offense like before.Another 2-14 record ahead
Pretty obvious of course. But at the same time it's obvious that the FO didn't make a good offseason job strengthening the O line or looking for a better crop of receivers or even building a better secondary ( very weak without Sherman).I believe that the fans(including me) were delusional about
a breakout season.Even with a healthy Garopollo we never had a group capable of making the playoffs.

The penalties were garbage and he's not dealing with a full deck of players but the defense just feels poorly schemed and coached out there.

His defense is playing much more reactive and his secondary is full of weak spots. And the fact that we never had a pass rusher only turn things worse.

Ooof. I wonder how much of this has to do with the new tackling rules, are they trying to avoid penalties? it makes no sense to tackle this bad as a pro.

And Mabin then eventually Moore as well. I do not want to see Ward. I’d get Reed in at slot CB over Williams as well. Once Colbert is healthy.

Yes, no more Ward, A complete waste of $8 million. Could have just kept a $500,000 scrub on the roster instead of Ward and had the same results. Could have used his $8 million salary on another free agent

We should have drafted Derwin James.

I am "ok" with Saleh, certainly would've preferred a Vic Fangio or Wade Phillips, or Gus Bradley. But in fairness to Saleh, he's not playing with a great hand either. Outside of Bucker, who else on the DL can provide any kind of pass rush? Armstead cannot, not sure why they picked up his 5th year option he doesn't deserve it. Solly Thomas is useless in the pass rushing. Blair is a nice rotational player and someone they should keep around but not as a starter. I want to see more Jullian Taylor. He's looked good in pre-season. He cant be that much worse than Solly or Armstead can he? Another question, should they have traded Eli Harold? He's got 3 sacks thus far in 3 games. Its a small sample size, but if the sacks keep coming, Lynch will have egg on his face for sure.

Gus Bradley was their first choice but Bradley turned them down. Big Fangio supporter but he was never getting out of Chicago. Thomas did get some pressure last week. He needs to be in the interior. He is not an outside rusher. We've got virtually nothing on the outside.

Thomas has often been compared to Michael Bennett. Bennett's first 3 years in the league were not good, but he obviously turned out good. Maybe there is still hope for Solly.

When you have no pass rusher and only one guy that deserves and does play all the snaps on Dline...WTF do you expect? His SS can’t stay on the field. Witherspoon and Ward are horrendous at CB for now. Saleh is working from a serious disadvantage personnel wise.

I like Witherspoon. He's been batting an injury on top of getting next to no help from the DL. As for Ward, should not have exercised his 5th year.

I like Witherspoon's potential, but he's still learning the nuances of the position. Right now, he's not playing well. He needs to develop his instincts a bit further. There is some question as to whether he can do that, and that will ultimately determine his success in the league. Is he a Chris Culliver, who does a decent job of being in the right spot, but simply cannot make a play on the ball in the air? Or can be he a Richard Sherman? Time will tell. I'm certainly not ready to give up on him, but he's not cutting it at present.

He's not doing himself any favors either... lots of blown coverages, lack of pressure and apparently something happened where these guys can't tackle for ish.
