If that's true I predict that Riddick/McDaniels will be the pairing that will happen.
York wants McDaniels as this will be the 4th time they've tried to talk to him and he'll look to accommodate McDaniels by getting him the GM he wants since York is looking for that power duo between the coach and GM. He wants that Carrol/Schneider setup like Seattle has. And when it comes to Riddick if you've been watching him on ESPN lately I think it's obvious he would take the 9ers GM gig if offered to him.
And I agree with Breer on this one because I feel a lot of people undersell the positives that the team does have. Unlike the Raiders job where Mckenzie had to take a couple of years to tear the thing down and build it back up the 9ers situation is ready to build up immediately due to cap space, draft picks, no bad contracts, and a current roster setup that you take in any direction.
If he's serious about being a head coach next season out of all his options (The Broncos aren't going to want him) I do think the SF job has the most appeal.
