Lions pick up Ze'Darius Smith and a 7th next year for a 5th this year and a 6th next year. That's a stellar trade for them. Addresses arguably their biggest hole with a very solid player for what should be two very late picks. The 6th and 7th pick-swaps next year could just result in moving down 15-20 spots in the last round.

Smith was a guy I had my eye on, and for that price, should have been a no-brainer IMO.

Pretty sure he moves around, as does Bosa. Smith has a number of sacks from an inside alignment, too.

Fair bit of talk about NE's DT Davon Godchaux. The position fits, but Godchaux hasn't been very good this year. 52.5 PFF grade, and he's been worse against the run than the pass - and he has no sacks in the pass rush. If he's cheap in terms of trade capital, it's worth a shot in the hopes that he regains his prior form with more talent around him. But he's in his 30s. Not sure he's going to be any sort of cure-all.

Really irritated we blew those games to the Rams and Cards. Those two losses are likely to loom large over the back half of the schedule, and we just absolutely gave both of those games away. Gah!

Commanders trading a 3rd, 4th, and 6th for Marshon Lattimore and a 5th. Aggressive move by the Commanders.

I feel pretty good about our CB depth at this point, and this is a pretty hefty pricetag for Lattimore, but he's been one of the best in the league for along time. Could be a nice move for them.

Not that WR was necessarily a huge need for us as I'd like to give the rookies more reps, but I just realized the Diontae Johnson trade was Johnson and the Panthers' 6th rounder for the Ravens' 5th rounder.

Given that the Panthers will be likely picking in the top-5 of the 6th round, and the Ravens in the bottom-10 of the 5th round, they likely got Johnson for moving down less than 20 picks in the draft. The Ravens' fifth-rounder this past year was pick 165, and the Panthers' sixth-rounder was pick 177.

The Rams game sums up exactly why Geno isn't a top 10 QB but why he tricked some people into thinking he was. They basically have set him up to fail.

Darnold had three picks. One did not look like his fault the other two were bad throws at or near the end zone. The thing is he had all day to throw. He had zero pressure. He could have had coffee and donuts in the pocket

No surprises here, as their coaching staff knew coming in that they would either play a big part in helping his transition to the next level as pros or not, which they have failed thus far.

Looks like Robert Salah wasn't the problem for the jets after all. Bad quarterbacks are the answer. Gotta admit I am happy to see Arrogant Rogers failing. It's gonna take some time to fix that team now.

I had an eye on Ulbrich as a replacement DC, but that defense is falling apart. Not necessarily an indictment of him as he's presumably not coordinating any more, but also not a good look.

Yea I was of course hoping the Cards would lose but the Jets are a bad bad football team. At least the Rams lost which I did not expect. They didnt look good at all most of the game.

Its kind of maddening to see KC benefit from a missed game winning FG last week, and Green Bay deflecting a game winning FG this week.

Must be so nice to your special teams pull out a W, instead of actively tanking for an L.
