Maurice Hurst - DL - Wolverines

Michigan DL Maurice Hurst suggested he will participate in the school's pro day later this week.

"2 Days until I get to Kill Pro Day!" Hurst posted on social media. As you know, Hurst was held out of the NFL Combine due to an irregular EKG. Hopefully, he completes a full athletic profile. Hurst is one of the best interior disruptors in this class.

Understanding Saquon Barkley

Spot on. Where has this tone and the same message been talked about before? Could probably stand to add to the scheme discipline/freelancing stuff but very well written. Well done.

The basic humble SQBK. You want 1 cut running, well, he's very good at it.

I think there's a fair chance he'll still be there if they move down to 12. Past that, I wouldn't hold my breath. Though there are plenty of mocks still coming out with Landry in the 20s and 30s.

I don’t see the Suggs comparisons at all. Other than that they’re quick off the ball and also they don’t mind causing the initial contact with big offensive lineman. They have great technique to disengage despite their smaller sizes going against bigger men. I noticed that the majority of the fans here are extremely high on Landry. He’s good but not great IMO. I don’t think he’s worth a top 20 pick, let a lone a top ten. He’s definitely graded as a first rounder in my books but he’s not uniquely awesome to spend such a high pick on the guy.

Landry apparently played injured this year, for what it's worth.

Sack production in college tends to translate to the NFL. And Landry's a hell of an athlete. Short arms are a concern, though.

Were you ever contacted at the Hoop to be the 49er rep for the draft challenge? They are looking for someone and have asked us a couple of times. I don't anyone who knows all these college players as well as you do. I can't do it. I barely follow college ball

49ers on hand to watch Western Michigan CB Darius Phillips at pro day

In addition to that, his coaches have raved about his football mind and as a worker.

Didn't know about that. Thanks. I'll check it out, but I'm probably way too busy to devote any energy to it. Teaching a new subject this year.

If the Flush-It-Downs are really gonna derp it up & take Darnold, here's how I see it shaping up:

1. Darnold (derp)
2. Chubb
3. Rosen
4. Barkley
5. Nelson

But if teams were smart, here's how it'd play out:

1. Rosen
2. Mayfield
3. Nelson
4. Chubb
5. Barkley

You really believe that it would be a “smart” move for the Jets to draft a guard with the #3 overall pick? After having given so much to move up to that draft slot?

Rashaad Penny - RB - Aztecs

San Diego State RB Rashaad Penny has predraft official visits scheduled with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline coming in with that lengthy visits list. He adds one more in the Carolina Panthers. They interviewed the 5-foot-11, 220-pound Penny on Thursday, a day after his pro day. He was unable to check in with any NFL teams on Wednesday evening, as the running back was in class as he readies for his May graduation. While Penny is viewed by some as a first-round prospect, we have enough questions regarding his pass-blocking prowess and pass-catching upside that we'd probably feel more comfortable with a Day 2 selection.
