Apparently the 3rd visit is the charm.

Ziggy isn't what he once was, but they could do worse by signing someone off the street. He doesn't have to pile up sacks, just needs to eat up blocks and penetrate the pocket semi-consistently.

Dion Jordan is also expected to be signed from the practice squad.

He's not what he was, and he was never as good as his sack numbers. But at least until (or if?) Blair gets back, we need bodies. I was glad we didn't add Ansah last week, but we're in a different situation now. Even a passable guy to maintain his lane and eat up blocks could be valuable at this point.

This is obviously great news. I highly doubt he plays this week, especially with the poor turf. It seems like he has a legit shot at playing next week against the Eagles

Never want to see anybody get hurt, but this could definitely be an addition by subtraction type of scenario here.

We are most likely going to get a look at Hasty this week.

Early indications seem to suggest Mostert and Coleman may be multi-week injuries. Jerick McKinnon and Jeff Wilson time, Hasty will likely be called up from PS and play mostly ST.

Expect Mostert to be placed on IR (out at least 3 weeks). 2-6 week injury depending on grade. An immediate out is not a great sign of a short-term 1 week injury.

I agree on the immediate "out" announcements.

However, in this particular case there might be a bit an extenuating circumstance. If the field at Met-life is indeed in that poor of shape as has been rumored, I think its possible Mostert was never going to be a consideration to play this week.

That said, I might be playing up the poor field factor a bit too much here.

Regardless, the new IR regulations for this season are really going to be a benefit. Honestly, I see no reason why the NFL shouldn't adopt the new system permanently.

As I mentioned earlier I never want to see anybody get hurt, but of all the injuries that happened yesterday this one easily hurts the least.
