He actually played for the 49ers from 95-96. He had 28 carries in his 6-year career and 26 of those carries came with the 49ers (24 for 164 yards and 0 TDs with 1 start in '96 with the 49ers).

Sign him for cheap to be our backup RT and cut Jonathan Martin:

Jake Long - T - Rams

ESPN Rams reporter Nick Wagoner expects the team to release LT Jake Long or ask him to take a pay cut.

Long is almost certainly going to be cut. The Rams have already said Greg Robinson will be the left tackle in 2015. Long has never played any other position in the NFL. He also has one of the lengthiest injury histories in the league. St. Louis is already projected to be over the salary cap. It can clear $8 million by releasing Long. C Scott Wells should also be an easy cut for GM Les Snead.

Despite the Packers' loss, it's extremely clear that signing Julius Peppers was a great move for them. :(

Revis has been the difference between the '13 Pats and the '14 Pats. Great signing by a guy who's probably smarter than Baalke. :(

Broncos may also try to get Rick Dennison to come with him. I would have thought a couple days ago that it was going to be either Kyle Shanahan OR Rick Dennison going with Kubiak, not both. Hmm...that would surprise me.

And now Adam Schefter puts the kibosh on what others were saying:

Falcons are hiring Kyle Shanahan as their OC, per league source. Shanahan and Dan Quinn planned to be package deal.
