This defense rarely steps up in the 2nd half. How many times have they been nails in the first half only to blow it in the 2nd

Of course this loss is mainly on the offense

Need to have a QB to win close games. Turn the ball over multiple times and you lose plain and simple

Defense predictably couldn't hold, which is a huge gut punch.

But it never should have came down to that, Garoppolo lost this game.

Some NFL "analysts" were building up the 49ers, how great they are with Kittle and Samuel.

But there was always going to be a ceiling because of the secondary and now, bad Jimmy. He can't win you the big games but he can certainly lose them for you.

Much like the first Seattle game, dominating the line of scrimmage but could only put up 10 points in the first half and then basically the other team comes back.

It's hard to sustain wins in the trenches for a whole game.

So they likely weren't going to hold Tennessee down all game. All those squandered opportunities.

Doesn't matter, this roster isn't good enough. And the weaknesses go way beyond QB and CBs.

I would say problems are CBSs > special teams > QB. Otherwise we are pretty good.
