Tua will be getting his first start against the Rams. Tall order for him to win that one.

If the 49ers can pull out a W in Seattle, they would suddenly be right back in the thick of the division race.

Would only be 1/2 game behind Seattle but 9ers would hold the tiebreaker
Would only be 1/2 game behind Arizona with Zona holding the tiebreaker
Depending on the Rams/Fins game, Frisco would either be tied with LAR or 1 game behind, with Frisco holding the tiebreaker

Armstead needs to show up in a big way this Sunday. Sunday's game is absolutely critical, so its time for Armstead to start to earn that new contract.

Armstead hasn't recorded a sack since week 4 against Philly, and that was only a half sack. He hasn't recorded a full sack since Week 2 against NYJ, and at that time he still had Bosa alongside him.

Hell, Armstead hasn't even recorded any QB hits, or QB pressures since that Philly game in week 4. in which that Philly O-line was ravaged by injuries, and was a mash unit. Dude only has 5 tackles (2 solo) in the 3 games since the Philly game.

1.5 sack, 9 QB hits (3 against NYJ, 6 against Philly), 17 tackles (9 solo), 2 tackles for loss on the season isn't good enough.
For comparison sake Kerry Hyder: 3.5 sacks, 11 QB hits, 22 tackles (13 solo), 4 tackles for loss

Sure, you can't really get a full grasp of a player's effectiveness via box scores, especially with defensive players. That being said, Armstead hasn't been passing the eye test either. He is not flashing, you don't notice him being on the field. He sure as hell isn't frequently getting into the backfield. I specifically remember one play last week when he was at least a full second late getting out of his stance after the ball was snapped. Granted that it just one play, but you tend to notice/remember such things when a guy isn't making any productive plays.

Time to nut up Arik.

Reed coming back would be a pleasant surprise, and could be a key contributor with Deebo out a couple games.

Coleman coming back would provide some depth at the currently thin RB position.

K'Waun coming back would be a + going against Seattle's passing game.

So Ward & Kwon Alexander practiced today, Tartt will most likely be out for Sunday’s game against the SeaChickens.

I know the team will probably start Ward and Harris, but I think Moore deserves to be on the field.

Yeah, I'd rather see Ward and Moore than Ward and Harris.

Kwon (doubtful)
Coleman (IR)
Reed (IR)
Williams (IR)

Have all practiced to some degree this week, so if they can't go this week they all very well could be good to go next week against the Packers. It will be on a short week though (Thursday night game)

It would be great if we could get back Williams and Reed, in that order.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Jamal Adams plays against us

I really don’t know what to expect Sunday, I think we can win but at the same time it’s just hard to imagine us sweeping the season series with Seattle, if we win Sunday I can see them coming back to Levi’s in Week 17 & getting us back. We suck ass @ home this season but play a lot better on the road.

He's questionable.

Our best CB is out. So Jimmy should have a good day passing against Tre Flowers (He's trash). Niners will score plenty. Expect a shootout.

I almost forgot that he’s on the roster. Lol. After the dominated performances he put together when Kittle was hurt, you would think I’d remember him. We need him and Kittle to be on the field together.

The games I watched y’all play early against the Falcons & Patriots Jamal Adams was easily the 2nd best player after Russ for your team. He’s a real game changer & with our best receiver (Deebo) out idk man, Jimmy G imo wasn’t good last week, I don’t mind the 2nd Interception because time was too short to make a play but those sailing passes he does pisses me off... But we both agree it’s going to be a shootout, nobody is stopping anybody on defense.

Oh, he definitely is. He somewhat struggled in coverage before the injury. But he led the team in tackles & sacks. He's our best player on defense. Really fun to watch. Hopefully he's back this week. We need him.

49ers & Rams are in the same category IMO, two teams with great play callers, good defenses but below average QB’s... Play action & a good run game can look good 1 season but if you don’t have great QB play then you can’t win a Super Bowl, that’s what separates Seattle & Arizona from SF & LAR. Goff & Jimmy G are not franchise QB’s.

Packers RB AJ Dillon has tested + for Covid 19, and Green Bay is holding only virtual meetings today.

With Green Bay coming into town to play the 49ers in 3 days, I believe this makes the 1st time Covid has had a direct impact on a 49ers game.
