Some of the best Jimmy G. high plays I've seen since college today. I will give him that.

Just one game, and there's still too much roller coaster for me, plus he still doesn't have NEAR the amount and the TYPE of help he'll need, but I'll give him his due. That was a game in some of its high points.

Some of the best Jimmy G. high plays I've seen since college today. I will give him that.

Jimmy was the worst player on the field besides Mike Person IMO. He was the reason those 2 passes were batted for picks. He's off target on easy throws for some reason.

And not just on those picks; Jusczyk had to dive for that long pass because Jimmy overthrew him. His long pass to Deebo was stupid & right to the DB; he's lucky Deebo got in there.

That's why I said THE HIGH and the roller coaster comparison. The highs were among some of the best things I've seen him do - escape ability, release, and footwork among them. The lows are definitely still too low and he has too many guys on this roster that should not be paired with him offensively long term.

The high. The high. The high. The HIGH ONLY. Ok, I'm done emphasizing that to everybody.

The second tipped ball for int. was due to someone in his face, forcing him to throw early.

49ers would have been in trouble with all those turnovers with Rothlisberger playing for them.

Defense played good, DL put on great pressure but fortunately they had an inexperienced back up playing QB.

Kyle gets too cute with his play calls, like whatever that play was that had the snap hit James leading to that fumble.

Once 49ers got the lead, they should have kept the foot on the pedal but he tries to go with the run even when they're not gashing the defense. As the commentators observed, not too many standard drop backs, a lot of pass plays off the run action.

Then they went to the hurry up offense for parts of the game where Jimmy had a couple of rhythm pass plays. IOW, the old WCO.

49ers don't have Jerry Rice, or a #1 WR. They don't have a Pro Bowl back either. But they should be trying to put up 30 every game and sometimes the running game isn't going to get you there.

Defense is good but it has holes, as we saw with Verret. So the offense has to give them a lead to play with if it can, to unleash Ford and Bosa.

But the OL looked shaky, with too many hits on Jimmy. Probably why the 49ers were able to move the ball well on them because they were too preoccupied with knocking Jimmy around. Against teams which don't have to blitz, it will be tougher.

On and that winning TD pass, that was like that one pass he forced into coverage in the preseason game, where he stared down the intended WR the whole play.

Good thing the WR came back for that ball.
