Louis Nix - DL - Free Agent

Texans waived NT Louis Nix.

Nix was the 83rd overall pick in last year's draft. He never played a down for the Texans after missing his entire rookie season with a wrist injury. The Texans then signed Vince Wilfork this offseason and drafted NT Christian Covington.

Fred Jackson to Seattle. Christine Michael looking more and more like a second round bust. How can that be? According to some Seahawk fans, Schneider is infallible.

I believe he's DC for the Raiders so it's probably a promotional move for him.

I guess Carroll got him into coaching at USC after being DC of the 49ers when Norton was playing?

I would imagine Norton came into the NFL with Carroll at a time when we had who, Singletary coaching the LBs under Nolan?

But Norton had no ties to the 49ers at that point so ...

Didn't remember him getting a DC role with Oak. Makes sense then. No reason to stay in SEA if he didn't get their DC gig.

I absolutely love his approach with the media sometimes. Brilliant, spectacular, sometimes genius, etc..

http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/football/qa-eagles-coach-kelly-oversees-a-forward-thinking-/nnb8B/

Q: What is your theory behind the tempo attack and how best it should work?

A: We are just trying to get the game over quicker.

Q: But, anything football-wise? You know, other than getting the game over quicker.

A: That’s it. It’s all for the fans. We just want the game to get over quicker. People shouldn’t be paying a lot of money to watch guys stand around.

Q: No football reasons though?

A: Not really.

Jim Owczarski Verified account ‏ @ JimOwczarski
BREAKING: # Bengals and AJ Green reach deal on long term extension.

Mike Garafolo ‏ @ MikeGarafolo
Mike Garafolo retweeted Jim Owczarski
Four years, $60 million, source says. Huge per-year average.

ProFootballTalk ‏ @ ProFootballTalk
With Bengals not guaranteeing money beyond first year, key term was duration of deal. Four new years instead of five helped get it done.

I'm glad he got paid.

Dr. David J. Chao:

For swelling and soft tissue damage. Often cast or splint for first day or two. Good chance still for next week.
