This is what Goff has always been and while I'm not a firm believer in analytics being absolute in the NFL if you looked at the metrics his numbers are great when he's clean but completely tank under pressure.
Daniels I really like I just need to see him do it another season. A lot of guys have one really good year and fall off the next so I'm not ready for a full buy-in yet.
I mean guys were talking about CJ Stroud and Love being top 10 QBs and they had down years. I definitely don't want to turn this into a Purdy discussion because there is a thread for that but he and Tua had down years compared to last year as well. So do it again and I'll say he for sure has it.
I've seen all I need to with Daniels. He has every tool that you look for in a star QB. For him to go on the road and have that kind of performance against the 1 seed in his conference proves he's got "it". The only thing that could slow him down would be injuries.
As for Goff. I don't get why people build up these fraudulent QBs year after year like it's a feel good story. A guy either has "it" or he doesn't. Goff looks great when surrounded by a superstar cast against terrible teams. As soon as things get hard he wilts. Just like Jimmy, Purdy, Darnold, ect.
Lumping Purdy in with those other guys is where you show your lack of objectivity. Purdy has lost two playoff games. In one of them, he went down after attempting one pass. In the other, his team had the lead the last three times he came off the field.
In his first playoff game, Purdy shook off a rough start to dismantle the Seahawks in the second half. Against the Cowboys, he did enough against a dominant defense late in the game to salt it away.
Against Green Bay the next year, he shook off the weather and another rocky start to seal the win. Against Detroit, he was the only life on the team for about three quarters, basically willing the team to victory with his arm and legs. And against KC he got past unrelenting pressure to put his team in the lead three times in the 4th quarter and OT.
I'm terms of playoff performance, Purdy's performance could not be more different from those other guys. He had repeatedly risen to the moment, and the fact that you deny that is maybe the most obvious sign of your bias.
