Ian Rapoport:

Source: #Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell has a badly torn MCL, along with other damage. He's expected to be out for the season.

On the bright side, they have one of the best guys in the league to turn to to offset the loss as much as possible.

I thought you were going to say the "bright side" is he can hit the medicinal marijuana now......

....seriously though, he's a helluva player and fun to watch. It was a bad looking bend of the leg. Ugh.

Lions fired their GM and team president during the season, which is raising eyebrows.

It's believed management forced the HC to fire his OC.

Why can't the 49ers do that, especially the team president?

People on this board always seem to find silly things in Cam Newton's game in an attempt to illustrate that he's a bad player. Criticize him all you want but we would kill to have him as our QB to lead our team. The guy has no legitimate #1 a #2 or even a #3 receiver on the roster and still manages to find a way to move the chains on offense. It's facscinating for me to witness something like that.

You're right. Informed Niner fans would kill to have Cam as the franchise QB...

...They'd kill Trent Baalke!

I don't understand how you call things like efficiency, YPA & interceptions "silly." Cam had 2 1000-yard receivers last year, and he still sucked. Plenty of QBs have lackluster supporting casts this year & have MUCH better numbers than Cam does; and Cam has a great running game. So it's not like he has the Niners' supporting cast.

Kaepernick has ALWAYS been better than Cam. Always. And Kaepernick sucks.

QBs like Cam, Vick, Vince Young and other running QBs have stretches where they look like the GOAT. It never lasts. Over time, they have all been mediocre to bad.

Better than Cam? In no particular order...

Kaepernick
David Carr
Carson Palmer
Rodgers
Brady
Rivers
Dalton
Luck
(despite a bad, injury-riddled season)
Flacco
Manning
Manning
Bridgewater
(who's also pretty mediocre)
Tannehill
Cutler
Roethlisberger
Wilson
Ryan
Brees

...And you could make a strong case for Mariota, Foles. Bortles & maybe Stafford.

Tyrod Taylor is also having a better season than Cam.

You are a fool Sick!! Seriously. I just can't with you. You just enjoy making things up as you go along. You have a serious inability to man up and admit when you are wrong.

Initially you stated that this year there are plenty of QBs with lackluster supporting cast and those same QBs are putting up better numbers than Cam. So I asked you to name me just ten out of those so called many. Your first QB according to you that has put up better numbers than Cam is Kaepernick.

David Carr is no longer in the league.
Carson Palmer has Fitz, Floyd, Brown, Johnson & Johnson, Elington.
Dalton probably has the best supporting cast in the league b.
Anyway, I'm not going to continue with this absurd claim of yours. Your hatred for Cam is clouding your judgement to the point that facts alone is not enough in itself for you to be able to evaluate him objectively.

I admit I was wrong about Matt Ryan. Because Matt Ryan isn't a below-average QB.

I misunderstood the question. I was just listing QBs who have been better than Cam (Oh, and of course I meant Derek Carr not David).

Jay Cutler had terrible supporting casts for years & performed better than Cam. Kaepernick has a terrible supporting cast, and he's been more efficient than Cam. So has Flacco. So has Ryan Tannehill.

And it's not like his efficiency has been medocre this season; it's been near the bottom of the league. He has the most undeserved hype since Michael Vick & Vince Young about a decade ago (and McNabb to a lesser extent).

Sickness - Although I'm pessimistic of the NFL upholding one game suspensions, you might get your chance to see Roby start. (I think it was you who liked him.)

Yep. I thought he was a no-brainer at 30.

Let's see how he does...

By the way, Denver got the guy I wanted 2 years in a row: Roby & Shane Ray.
