The last 3 Senior Bowl game MVPs became Giants (Daniel Jones, Kyle Lauletta, Davis Webb). They also drafted Sinorice Moss in 2006 who also was a Senior Bowl game MVP.

That'll be tough to duplicate ever again.

Check the posts from the day he was hired (no, I'm not actually expecting people to hunt those down. Trust me, though). I love this.

I just wish it was to a team I dislike more. I don't have a lot of hate for the Giants as an organization. That's the only problem with this for me.

Oy!

Jordan? And hey, 90% of the teams in the league don't even watch the Senior Bowl game, but if that's what did it for you, more power to you.... It's not like the defense has to run a completely vanilla scheme or anything.

That is completely unrealistic, Sick. You think SEATTLE would have sent us two firsts and a pro bowl-caliber pass rusher for Nick Bosa?

I know it’s unrealistic. The point is to compare the relative value and cost of the 2 moves. I’m sure they could’ve traded down if they wanted to.

Looking ahead to today, I think my order of preference is one of the two CBs, OT Taylor (if health checks out, apparently a big if), OL Risner, WR Brown. I had been thinking safety in this round, but I've done more digging on the safeties and I'm not sure I love any of them in the single-high spot. If we added a CB here, I'd strongly consider moving Moore back to safety. Though we're running the risk of turning him into another Jimmy Ward with that.

Why even make the comparison if it's one that would never happen? All the signs suggest that there wasn't much of a market to move back. The Jets clearly wanted to trade down, but didn't find a worthwhile offer to do so. There were no trades until the 10th pick, and no one moved up for a QB for the first time in years. I don't see any reason to believe that any teams came calling offering multiple first rounders. So you either take significantly less value than the pick is worth (which would blow up your two firsts and a very good player argument on other grounds than initially discussed), or you sit tight and take an impact player.

I was listening to a podcast reviewing the first round driving into work this morning and heard something curious: the Raiders may have passed on Josh Allen because his agent is the agent who represents Mack and Cooper. I don't know how much stock to put in that, but if true....wow.

Clelin Ferrell's agent also represents Khalil Mack.

I heard that the Packers plan for Rashan Gary is to have him play OLB in their 3-4 scheme. If so, I think he will be a perennial pro bowler in the league.

Good for Miami. And I know the Cardinals would never trade him to an NFC West team, but I wish it were the Niners who were close to a deal for Rosen.

What about drafting Dalton Risner and letting him compete with suck-bag Mike Person for the RG position? If he's really good, he might even be able to kick out to RT when Staley retires if McGlinchey shows he has the speed to handle LT.

Paris Campbell being overlooked IMO. I'd take him over DK.

John Lynch needs to be tarred & feathered.

If we pass on the top-two CBs, or they don't fall, Risner may be my top choice at 36. Shore up that OL. It's not a glaring need, but I like the value of Risner. There are so many WRs still on the board, and plenty of CBs that would be interesting in the third (though I shiver to think about drafting another CB project in the third....).

The only CB I'd like in the 3rd is Julian Love from Notre Dame. Also like Michael Jordan, C OSU a lot. Also, with fewer & fewer options available, what about making Michigan DE Chase Winovich a SAM due to that great short-distance burst he has?

Not even Adderley? I’m surprised by that, Crims.

Also strange for the exec to be referring to "whites" and "blacks." But maybe that's just me. I do live in the Bay Area, after all....
