Re: Rams @ 49ers
At work so haven't had a chance to see the game but followed it on gamecast.
Seems like everyone on offense was putrid.
Defense had a good day but I can't help but be disappointed that when we desperately needed a stop to give the offense one more real chance they once again folded and let the Rams kill the clock and build on their lead.
Not blaming the defense for the L by any means it just the entire year this defense has been as unclutch as you can be.

What Campbell did was messed up, but I kind of respect it. This season has been a disaster and dude was like I don’t want to be a part of this **** anymore.

This is absolute weaksauce.
You have had some real gems, but this right here is your worst take of all time.
Go tell that drivel to Fred Warner who is playing through a broken ankle.
Go tell anybody that the choice to play was not theirs to make, that you respect that ****. So many dudes willing to die out there on the field, and you condone this garbage.
Good god, this is a whole other level of a terrible take.

Get off your high horse brother. Campbell understands that this is a business. He simply made a business decision and was like eff this ****. He knows the consequences for his actions could cost him financially. To me that says a helluva lot more than just going out there on the field and half assing it.

Apparently his teammates and coaching staff are all riding the same horse. They have publicly expressed their disgust with it.
But hey, you do you bro.

Most ridiculous thing I have ever read on any board. The dude not just quit on his coach, but on his teammates, the fans, and the organization. He will never play for any team again. He's done.

The defense played great for 55 minutes. They were gassed at the end. Offense is to blame for this loss and Kyle.

Not saying I’d have done it if I were him, but it just shows the level of disgust that he had to have had knowing what was at stake for his career. That’s why I kind of respect it.

Re: Rams @ 49ers
Respect idiocy do you? Because that is what that was. He effectively ended his career. If he was injured he should have informed the team he was unable to play way sooner than the 3rd quarter. I wonder if his "injury" could be being miffed that greenlaw got the start over him and totally showed him up.Big J wrote:49er4life1979 wrote:thesack12 wrote:

Campbell refused to play, when the team was short on linebackers and needed him.
Dude literally quit on the team, during a must win game with the season on the line.
If you respect that type of ****, then that reflects what type of character you have.

Yeah, say what you will about all the stupid QB posts, but backing a guy who quit on his team is a new low.

Look, I don’t condone his actions, and as a teammate I’d be pissed. However you’ve gotta respect that the man felt so strongly about this team being trash that he was willing to put his career on the line for it.

Actually, no you don't have to respect quitting on your team. At all, ever.

He gets paid to do a job, he refused to do that job. And that deserves respect? WTF

Vontae Davis did the same thing a few years ago with the Bills. That team was trash, and everyone (minus his teammates) was like yeah, I don’t blame him.

Yeah, 'cause Campbell has been absolutely flawless this season. Clearly a guy who is in a position to cast stones on this team.
To me, it sounds more like a guy who was upset that he was taking a back seat to Greenlaw and Winters and decided to pout about it. Regardless of the reason, in that situation, I'm a fight to the bitter end sort of guy. Not shocked that you aren't.
And no, I don't have to respect a guy who walked out on his team.

Not surprised that I’m not? No need to make this personal man. All I did was state an opinion.
