Knowing we have only one pick in the top 50 now it might be a given that we trade down with a QB needy team.

NC St. and Clemson is gonna be mighty interesting this weekend. Dline extravaganza. Just because we have drafted a ton at that position hasn’t brought us a pass rush from the edge yet. I want to see Chubb.

Plan B: Saquon Barkley

Plan A: Trade down to accumulate a bunch of picks. Not just any draft picks, but a bunch of future 1st rounders.

Plan B: Derwin James

I wouldn't be mad at James being the number 1 pick. He would be an upgrade to ward or tart

WRs I’m liking so far: James Washington, Deon Cain and Keke Coutee.

I've watched some of James Washington's videos on youtube, and one thing that kinda worries me is even in his highlights he doesn't seem to have a lot of separation. There is always DBs around him, i worry that as he goes up against better DBs in the NFL that could be a problem. on the other hand he does seem to win a lot of those contested balls so that could be a positive spin on it.

One WR that has been growing on me is Courtland Sutton. Watching him run reminds me of a slightly less muscular version of T.O. I think he could be a much needed redzone weapon for us. He also forced 13 miss tackles last year.

Bradley Chubb. Total package. Ideal scenario is a small trade down inside the top 5 where we select him and pick up a 2nd rounder. We need a pass rusher.

Sam Darnold - QB - Trojans

USC redshirt sophomore QB Sam Darnold completed 20-of-26 passes for 311 yards and two touchdowns with one pick in a 49-35 victory over Arizona on Saturday.

Darnold (6'4/220) really made only one mistake; an interception in the end zone when USC was looking to put the Wildcats away. Take away that throw, and he was as good as he's been in 2017. He had impressive zip on both his 27-yarder to Stephen Mitchell and his 22-yard strike to Tyler Vaughns. His best throw, however, was a wheel route to Ronald Jones where he was rolling to his left and he put perfect touch on the 33-yard completion. Darnold will look to stay hot next week against Colorado.

Ronald Jones II - RB - Trojans

USC junior RB Ronald Jones II ran for 194 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries in a 49-35 victory over Arizona on Saturday.

He also caught three passes for 39 yards. With all due respect to Sam Darnold -- who played terrific tonight -- Jones (6'0/200) is the key to the USC offense, and is why the Trojans have looked so much better with the ball the last two weeks. He's not only one of the fastest backs in the country, he has quality vision, and he's a competent receiver out of the backfield. Two of his scores were from one yards out, but they were both set up by long runs before he finished them off. Jones and the USC offense take on a downtrodden Colorado defense next week.

Cam Akers - RB - Seminoles

Florida State freshman RB Cam Akers had 111 of his 199 yards come after contact on Saturday against Syracuse, according to Pro Football Focus.

Akers (5'11/210) also forced seven missed tackles against the Orange on Saturday. As frustrating as this year must be for Florida State fans, you have to be optimistic about the future when you watch this freshman run the football. He has the highest percentage of yards after contact of any running back with 100 touches this year. And he's only going to get better. Florida State takes on Clemson next week.

Baker Mayfield - QB - Sooners

Oklahoma senior QB Baker Mayfield was named the Walter Camp Offensive National FBS Player Of The Week after his performance against Oklahoma State on Saturday.

No shock here. Mayfield was ridiculous, throwing for 598 yards and five touchdowns and adding a rushing touchdown as well. There's a real possibility that this performance puts the 6-foot, 200-pound quarterback at the top of the Heisman race, if he wasn't there already. Mayfield and the Sooners have another must-win game next week against TCU.

Derrick Nnadi - DL - Seminoles

Florida State senior DT Derrick Nnadi picked up seven quarterback pressures and six defensive stops in their win over Syracuse on Saturday.

Talk about doing a bit of everything, or at least a bit of everything that a defensive tackle can do. His ability to rush the passer as an interior defender while also being sound against the run game is why so many analysts believe he has a chance to be a first-round pick this year. Nnandi will have a great chance to boost his stock if he play well against Clemson on Saturday.

Started a thread about him on WZ's draft page back in September. Here was my take:

Braden Smith is pretty impressive. Maybe not on Quenton Nelson's level, but he looks pretty good so far (based on his was his 2016 footage).

On this play, he blocks the DT to the outside & then picks up the DE running a stunt with no problem. Nice!

Image

On this play, he just pushes the DT three and a half yards back; he was pushing his guys around all day.

If Tomlinson doesn't work out, he might be a nice option. Extremely athletic & plays low. Dominates in both aspects of the game.

I would be perfectly happy drafting both Quentin Nelson and Braden Smith to be the LG & RG respectively.

If NE doesn't franchise or re-sign Nate Solder, I would love to bring him in too; it's time to move on from Staley IMO; he needs to play for a contender.

Solder
Nelson (I don't care if it's at #2 in the draft)
???
Braden Smith
Brown

...If Garnett actually shows something, maybe Braden Smith could move to C??? Just get that man in a Niners' uniform somehow if possible.
