NFL Week 3 FOX 49ers @ Chiefs Preview

49ers staying away from the blitz
San Francisco ranks T-30th in called blitz percentage through Week 2, as defensive coordinator Robert Saleh has leaned on DeForest Buckner & Co. up front to take down the quarterback rather than extra rushers.

Kyle confirmed after the game it's the ACL they're "fearing." Not another ligament if there was any doubt in any medical people's eyes. Doesn't rule out it could be a "ACL and a (insert something here)" injury. But the ACL is the main concern.

Claims they won't know until tomorrow but my guess is you'll see the concrete starting to be poured in by early evening, so to speak. The 100% tag might not come until tomorrow. We'll see though.

Jimmy Garoppolo appears to suffer ACL tear

An MRI will confirm the injury, but the team already knows the severity. I never had an instance in two decades that we didn’t discover an ACL tear on the field prior to imaging.

Edit:

Boooo. he's not enough of a system fit to be a franchise QB, but as a back up who plays decent enough to get us through games, i'll take him over the other names we're working out.

Yes!
Yes!
Yes!

Do it if his foot is healthy enough. He's one of my favorite back ups in the league, and unless you want to completely give up on the season and you don't care about the development of other players on offense, he'd be near the top of the list of non-trade QBs to bring in.

For those that don't know anything about him. He played for the Panthers for 3 seasons and then the next 7 with the Dolphins. He's played in 49 games with 30 starts. There's not a lot of flash with him - nothing is near an elite level - but he's mature and you know what you're getting with him (if he's healthy). There's potential for any back up type in the league to blow up in your face but Moore would be on the lower end of that scale. He has steady qualities to him.

There simply isn't going to be another name I like more to bring in than him. Not if I have to be realistic. Do it.
