131st safety by PFF. Again, maybe a STs ace? Another guy with a good pass-rush grade (presumably based on a very limited sample size) but crappy run and coverage grades.

Apparently Saleh really liked him when they had to cut him on the Jets a couple years ago.

I never want to hear from the Bosa Brothers again about the potential to play together

Reminds me when everyone was convinced JJ Watt was going to the Steelers to play with his brother and he ended up going to the Cardinals out of nowhere.

I guess he was on the Jets at one time, and Saleh liked him, so I'm sure Saleh was the one behind this signing.

Reportedly they are supposed to be focused on being more creative on defense so with a good pass-rush grade maybe Saleh envisions him being a poor mans Jamal Adams and taking an LB off on 3rd downs and putting him in as that extra LB that can rush the passer or drop in coverage.

The only real loss on defense to me was Greenlaw and that's a remain to be seen because he's probably not going to be any less injury prone going forward.

Everyone else we lost was old, injury prone, or both.

I hate the Rams but I think they are the perfect model in that a couple of good drafts and you're right back in the mix of things. 2024 right now looks like a good draft and with 11 picks in this upcoming draft we can be back to being good in a hurry.

The Bosas are all about the Benjamins. I'm sure that was the best offer he got. Just as well. Unless it's pretty incentive-laden, it's too rich for a guy with his injury history.

Niners signed WR Demarcus Robinson to a pretty reasonable deal (2 years, $9.5 million, $6 million guaranteed). Fine signing. Robinson had a solid year for the Rams last year, and provides veteran depth at a position of some need until Aiyuk comes back. He doesn't have very good speed, so not sure how well he fits out biggest current need (an X to take Aiyuk's spot until he's back), but he's a decent player to add at a reasonable price. I'd imagine he'll compete to be the #3 receiver.

So why is Jake Moody still on the roster?

What is the upside to cutting him now? Bring in another kicker to compete in training camp and let it play out.

Again, there is literally no upside to do it right now. I would rather wait and see, not sure if there are great alternatives out there or not. I still think that high ankle sprain he got last year messed with him quite a bit and I thought I saw some talk they brought him back probably a week or two early
