Shanahan's handling of Lance makes me think he wanted Mac Jones and was pressured into taking Lance. He's managed him like someone who wants his guy to fail.

Yup, thats the biggest detriment to a serious injury. Not only will he not gain experience, but he's going to have to concentrate on rehabbing so he won't be able to do much else to try and develop in other ways.

49ers say it is an ankle which is interesting. Wonder if it is a high ankle and they just wanted to be really cautious

Edit: nevermind his ankle is for sure broke based on the video

Mac Jones isn’t better than Jimmy though. We’d be better off finding a reasonable back up or drafting a guy later
