One throw just a bit off and pretty much no time in the pocket on his drop backs and he is playing awful?

He’s completed 2 screens and a short pass. Missed badly on 2 and taken 2 sacks (1 might not have been his fault). He’s not playing well. I also said that he needs to turn it around. Are you saying that he’s played well today?

Fans are so weird. I call our players all over the field and no one bats an eyelash, as soon as I call out the QB people get butthurt.

He missed one to Aiyuk, the screen to Deebo was tipped by Watt. The 2 sacks were not on him, the last one was 3rd down and he tried to get out of the pocket and didn't get a good chance to throw it out of bounds, we weren't in FG position so it really wasn't a big deal.

It's because you keep calling out the 7th round rookie who has played well all things considered when he does a little thing wrong. If you think he has been awful in less than a quarter I am not sure what you are watching

He hasn’t played well, he checked down on nearly every throw. I’m not about to call him the savior, that’s what ended us up with Jimmy G for so many years.

I’ve called out undrafted rookies and no one complained lol. It’s not his age or draft position, it’s the fact that people are obsessed with QB’s and only QB’s.

Don't love a designed run for Purdy playcall in that situation

Nah, that 2nd sack was 100% on Purdy.

He was miles out of the pocket, it wouldn't have been super difficult to get rid of the ball

He would have had to throw it across his body, like I said it was 3rd down not in FG range. Was taking a sack trying to make a play really that big of a deal?

I for sure don't think he is a savior but he is playing well enough for this team to win and not costing the team at all.

I’m fine with him for now, but I’m not fine with anyone talking about him as the solution to our QB problems.

Anyone who has been on these board for years has seen me call out every QB when they play crappy. Alex Smith, Krapernick, Jimmy G, Tim Rattay, etc.

When you don't need to throw the ball to anybody in particular and don't even have to keep it in bounds, getting rid of the ball there isn't that difficult.

Taking a massive sack eliminated potentially going for it on 4th down, which frequently happens in that part of the field.

With the Eagles looking like they’d win, I’d be fine with pulling CMC at the half

Niners not completing their drives is a bit concerning. Defense is making plays though.

It is way too early for people to think he is the solution at QB but he does have a good chance of being better than Jimmy if he progresses which would probably mean he would be the best QB we have had in a long while but that is a big IF.

But in the context of this season and what he has done I would say he has been more than good so far. We probably all thought as soon as Jimmy went down and was carted off the season was for sure over but Purdy has surprised and makes a lot of believe we still can get to the Super Bowl
