Rookie mistakes. Basically was hurt during the offseason. Then gets shot and then thrown into duty right away. You can prepare him but that might not prevent.mistakes. ill give him a pass this year. Lets see what happens with hopefully a full offseason and TC. Maybe this time will help with the learning process for him

No one created a game thread? Anyway, I think they need to keep Deebo cause of his all-around play today. Cutting him is out of the question!

I'd rather that all the NFC west teams other than the 49ers get the best record possible to worsen their draft position.

Shanahan has too many shifts and motion so the player has to get coached up because it's unlike anything in college.

Pearsall had the unfortunate incident but he's been back at least 4 games now? With injured WRs, he should have been getting reps in practice. Or the WR coach should be getting him to know the playbook and the rules.

Yeah too early to pass judgement. He deserves to be judged after at least one offseason.

But I wonder if he'd be getting any snaps at this point in the season if Aiyuk wasn't injured and the season hadn't gone south. Kyle may not want to play the rookie.

This team SUUUUUUUUUCKS. We had better see some major changes this off-season. No coordinator should be back except Shanahan, and I'd love him to bring in someone to assist Shanahan on offense.

Regardless of who is behind center at quarterback next season they have to rebuild the offensive line or it really won't matter if it's Purdy or somebody else playing QB.

The offensive line play is just putrid and it either gets beat physically or mentally with stunts etc or sometimes both.

I mean is it any accident that almost all of the playoff teams have good or at least average offensive lines? The two best teams in the NFC have the two best offensive lines in the league.

We don't even need the best offensive line in the league as this offense would be leagues better with just a slightly above average offensive line.

Some people were ready to give him a blank check after the previous 2 years. Glad we are seeing his limitations get exposed. This team needs to let him play out his current deal and bring someone legit in to challenge for snaps.

Isn't always easy? Understatement of the year. Quarterback is really the least of our worries.

watched that game and he's suck as a backup! What a lame example by looking at his stats for one game. Kyle would quit if he had to coach him. Mac Jones played 10x better today and should be considered by the 49ers imo.

Nobody made that point because he wasn't eligible for a new deal. I and others said let's see what he does this year, and if it's comparable to what he did last year, he would be with the contract. We've seen it now. He can be a solid QB, but he can't carry a lesser team, which is what we'll have if we pay him. It would be a huge mistake to pay him like a difference maker.

I wouldn't say least. And once we're paying top dollar at the position, it vaults to right at the top of our worries.

It actually isn't that hard to find a solid QB. Look at the guys in this years draft: Daniels, Maye, Caleb, Nix & Penix all look as good or better than Purdy already.
