I’m in love with Pozz’s boy Dallas. If we decide to trade back from our top 5 pick, he’d be one of the few players we should draft in the late first:

 TEs names Dallas have a pretty good track record in the NFL.

Like the dude from S. Carolina, too.

...But I'd rather roll the dice & sign Tyler Eifert.

Josh Rosen - QB - Bruins

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that UCLA junior QB Josh Rosen would be "hesitant" to declare for the 2018 NFL Draft if he knew the Cleveland Browns would take him with the No. 1 overall selection.

Rosen would favor landing with the New York Giants, with Shefter explaining that "[h]e has expressed concern about winding up in Cleveland and would rather be with a more stable franchise." Earlier this month, the junior quarterback took to Twitter to vehemently insist that he has not yet made a decision on the draft. Stay or go, Rosen will wait until after the Cactus Bowl on Dec. 26 to have what he called a "serious conversation" with his parents regarding his future playing plans. It was more or less a foregone conclusion that the top-tier quarterback prospect would declare, but Schefter's report now has us in a holding pattern. The Browns can clinch the No. 1 draft pick on Sunday if they lose to the Bears or the Giants beat the Cardinals.

This dude is a special type of back. He has a lot of Alvin Kamara in his game:

Rashaad Penny - RB - Aztecs

San Diego State senior RB Rashaad Penny rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries in Saturday's 42-35 loss to Army in the Lockheed Martin Armed Force's Bowl.

Army absolutely dominated time of possession in this one -- they ran 91 plays to San Diego State's 31 -- but that mattered not to Penny, who made up for it by logging monster run after monster run. The 5-foot-11, 220-pounder averaged a just-plain-silly 15.78 YPC while putting in scoring runs of 81 yards, 32 yards, 49 yards and (quite modestly) four yards. Penny finishes out his final season of collegiate ball on a run of five consecutive games with at least 200 yards rushing, going off for 2,248 yards and 23 touchdowns for the season as a whole. He'll next be seen at the Senior Bowl as he begins prep for the draft. Draft Analyst's Chris Tripodi is of the opinion that Penny "projects as a versatile three-down back," with the outlet assigning him a third-round grade.

I'd never heard of him but saw the highlights.

Seemed like a pretty big dude, especially upper body, not some more elusive, speed back.

I’m pretty sure Dorsey wouldn’t touch Rosen anyway.

He has been tearing it up all year long. Dude is deceptively fast, and yes he’s pretty stout and that’s somewhat surprising for me at least because people with his frame do not have the breakaway speed that he possess. I’m really torn between he and Bryce love if i had the choice to draft one for Shanahan.

Can he catch the ball though?

And presumably they're going to give Williams a chance next season, not draft another back in consecutive years.

Hell yeah! He’s deadly as a pass catcher. They often line him up in the slot or way wide on the outside.

Lil'Jordan Humphrey - WR - Longhorns

Texas sophomore WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey is one of three players who has been suspended for the team's Texas Bowl showdown with Missouri on Dec. 27.

Humphrey, Toneil Carter and Garrett Gray will all sit out the bowl suspended due to an unspecified violation of team rules. This season, the 6-foot-4, 222-pounder has caught 38 passes for 439 yards and a touchdown. The slot wideout is second on the team in receiving yardage. Reggie Hemphill-Mapps and Lorenzo Joe will likely see expanded snaps against the Tigers with Humphrey in the doghouse.

His brother wanted his name to be Jordan after Michael Jordan (that one). His mom told him no and named him Lil'Jordan instead. He goes by LJ, though.

I want both. I threw out a probably far-too-detailed offseason plan out there a couple weeks ago in some thread where I'd try and do both and roll next season with Goedert, Eifert, and Celek. If you give me those 3 I'll let anybody on earth pick the 4th guy if the coaches say they need a 4th TE body for ANY reason.

You'd likely have to lock in Eifert early in the process and tell him he's not going to be cemented in the top spot and he'd have to be OK with that. Would he fall for a pitch that included the idea that he isn't going to be a stand alone guy with his injury history? I don't know. I'm just acknowledging that there could be a snag if I'd have to tell him what I want that TE room to look like.

I'd be over the moon with those 3. I have 0 interest in seeing Kittle stay on the team. He can be of some use to someone else. I'd move him for almost anything if it meant I could squeeze in Goedert, Eifert, and Celek.

I actually think Celek has starter traits to him but if Jimmy G. is going to continue to be the guy I want an absolute monster starting at that spot and Celek isn't that. I still think Celek could start in a bunch of offenses. I like him that much. I just want as many specialized size freaks in starting roles on this team as possible if Jimmy G. is the guy.

I'm officially on the Goedert bandwagon. His game paired up with Jimmy would be scary.

Sam Darnold - QB - Trojans

An NFC front-office official told ESPN that USC redshirt sophomore QB Sam Darnold "looks the part."

"He's got everything you look for -- size, arm strength, accuracy. Could stand to clean up some mechanical stuff, but that's going to come with time," the official explained. On that note of mechanics, an NFC personnel member noted earlier this month that the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Darnold has something of a "loopy motion." There's also some concern that the redshirt junior occasionally goes hunting for big plays and will jettison out of the pocket earlier than necessary in order to try for the highlight throw. Darnold has yet to announce a decision on the NFL Draft, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that he returns to USC for one more season.

Josh Rosen - QB - Bruins

An NFC offensive coach told ESPN that UCLA junior QB Josh Rosen is "just so natural in everything he does on the field."

"You watch him in the pocket and it's like he was born to do it. The way he sees the field, the way he operates the offense, just total command," the coach said, adding that if he had Rosen's pure talent, he would probably act a little cocky, too. The UCLA gunslinger will make his draft decision at some point following the Cactus Bowl (versus Kansas State) on Tuesday. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Sunday that Rosen is "hesitant" to declare if the Browns -- who secured the No. 1 overall selection with their most recent loss, to the Bears -- are targeting him.

Rosen would be stupid to risk injury and go back to play for free for another year.

Browns have a chance to draft a lot of talent with all their picks. Stay and UCLA and he's got to contend against better teams.

But there's also no guarantee that the Browns won't get to draft him in 2019 either.

He wouldn't have to. All he'd have to do is pull a punk-a** Eli Manning and demand a trade. If they didn't trade him, he'd re-enter the draft (the 2019 draft), and he wouldn't even be eligible to play CFB in the 2018 / 2019 season.

But he'd be throwing away a year of NFL money and the counter towards getting past the rookie contract.

I don't know why he thinks Giants would be a better team, though I guess they massively underperformed after a playoffs season last year so they could turn it around quickly. Giants do have better weapons too.

Yet Browns have all those picks and you assume Garrett will produce.

True, but he'd have all the leverage; he'd win that game of chicken with the Browns by a mile. He'd be risking a year's salary; the Browns would be risking a #1 overall pick. The latter risk >>>>>>>>>>>> the former.
