But this defense has the tendency to give up conversions on 3rd and longs, commit drive extending penalties, and have break downs from time to time. They also have the tendency to allow Russell Wilson to make big improvisational type plays.

So I think declining it and seetting up the 55 yard FG was the right call. That's a low % FG

Don't love that play call on 3rd down. Shanahan not showing much more faith in Jimmy than he did in Lance. Granted Jimmy has had several opportunities for big plays tonight and hasn't been hitting them.

IDK, that seems like a late hit. Deebo's progress had clearly been stopped, and already had like 4 defenders hanging off of him

Is a touchback the same rules as a TD, as in just has to cross the plane?

I ask because it kinda looks like the point of the ball broke the plane, but the middle (fat part) of the ball landed just short of the chalk

Fascinating that the ball has to actually touch, not just cross. I was not aware of that rule. I guess it makes sense, though, as the entire ball can cross and be knocked back. Big opportunity for the D.
