Chris Hovan or John Henderson

I think the 49ers should also go after Hovan or Henderson to have a nice D-Line rotation with Franklin and Sopoaga and J. Smith. Would be very nice to have another good defensive lineman.

Who is Chris Hovan? I've liked Henderson's impact in Jacksonville so he could be of use in a secondary role here, but he should probably be a starter. To be honest we need another DE more than we need another DT.

Chris Hovan used to play for Minnesota before Tampa Bay. He has made the Pro Bowl before and is a good DT. I agree that we need a pass rushing DE more than anything. Our run defense was solid last year. Lord knows our secondary was terrible and it didn't help that we didn't have any pass rushers to pressure the QB.

I'm guessing neither guy will end up being a 9er. IMO at this point in their careers, Both are basically just brand name guys who don't produce near as much as they used to.

Would be a solid rotation with Franklin and Sopoaga.

Return to San Francisco 49ers
