William James (CB) from Detroit Lions was invited to the 49ers training camp this week. Not sure I can trust anyone from the Lions but he did start all 16 games last season and managed 73 tackles as a CB. Also managed 14 pass deflections and had 2 INT. Never hurts to get some extra CB insurance especially with Tarell Brown in our CB rotation.

Don't really know much about him but this team needs some kind of substance @ CB. Will this dude provide any? We will find out.

He doesn't even understand the defensive playbook enough to get reps in at the OTAs. I'm sure he will make the team as CB insurance though.
