So Aldon was given his 2nd defensive player of the month award for December. I think he deserves it and I believe he has a strong chance. Von Miller dropped off with the injury. He also only won the monthly award in November.
I know this ultimately doesn't matter but it would be nice to see Aldon rewarded. I can't wait to see how he improves for years to come.

I still feel like Von is the guy to beat since he is an every down player.
However, maybe Tebowmania deflected enough attention from Denver's defense and Aldon's strong end to the year was enough to sway the voters. /shrug.

I believe Von Miller is a starter for the AFC Pro Bowl team, while Aldon didn't even get to be an alternative so....that kinda tells you how the votes are going to play out.

Oh believe me, no one is more of a Aldon Smith for DROY fan than I am around these parts, but I'm just saying, it does mean something. Bowman was at least voted in as an alternative.
