That would probably send him into the crazy house or worse.

No, let him redeem himself next year. Although he'll probably be our 4th WR behind Crabtree, Morgan, and...Marques Colston

If he values his health, he sure as hell needs to get out of California or hide in a cave or something for bit until some of this blows over.

Roger Craig at least had established himself as a player and got rings before his famous fumble. I dunno how Kyle will be seen now by the Niner fanbase.

No matter how he plays, even if he puts up 1,000 yards receiving (a stretch, I know) next season, no one will ever forget the fumbles. I would cut him and let him try to establish himself on a different team, because he'll never have a fair chance on this team with our fans.

You could have said the same thing about Alex Smith. He was getting booed almost every home game and look at him now. Almost, sorta-kinda, loved by the city-ish.
Maybe next season people will grow to almost, sorta-kinda love Williams.

This whole thing has been way overblown. I absolutely would not cut him. I definitely would not let him return kicks but people just need to get over it. There a were a ton of mistakes in this game. He had one really bad one (the first one) and one somewhat bad one. He was having a good season as a receiver and I'm pretty sure was clutch in one of our late wins. If it weren't for his great catches we would have lost and been the 3 seed going to NO.
Alex Smith was literally booed in his introduction during the preseason. I was there when we played Houston and I thought that was stupid. I think its stupid to think that two mistakes mean he will be forever hated.
I was as mad as anyone when he fumbled but I don't blame him solely. I think he should have been pulled after the first one. He looked nervous on every return. He made a similar mistake in college. He should not have been back there. This team lost the game not Kyle. Alex overthrew him on what was probably a touchdown. The offense couldn't convert on third down or in the redzone AGAIN! Carlos Rogers couldn't cover Cruz. Williams just had the most noticeable mistakes.

Alex Smith never costed this team a trip to the Super Bowl.

Well, you could argue Williams didn't either. How many times did the defense stop the Giants towards the end of the game only to see our offense waste the effort and embarrass themselves?
Lots of blame to go around for the loss. The only aspect of the 49ers that played Super Bowl worthy in the game was the defense.

Well I honestly hope Niners fans aren't that stupid. Seriously, we would have to have really short memories (in the regular season he won at least one game for us) or just have not paid attention to the rest of the game.
Kyle Williams was a BIG part of the problem. The first fumble was awful and stupid. The second wasn't good but it was magnified because it was our last real play and his second mistake. He definitely was not the one who lost the game so everyone needs to take it down a step. I could list all the mistakes of the game but I already did that.
He will (sadly) probably be booed the first time back on the field but then he will do what he does best and make some good plays as a receiver. Almost everyone will forgive him and life will go on. The important thing is that his teammates are behind him.
Oh and if we are going to hate on KWill then we have to put just as much blame on the coaches for keeping him in there. He was having a bad game. They left a 2nd year player who had made a huge mistake already, in the most important game of his life. You can't blame him without giving a little blame to the leaders who trusted him to be there.
