Source: The Saints are looking to trade Delvin Breaux

http://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans/sports/saints/article_56a4223c-80f6-11e7-a7ca-afd66cde4f42.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=user-share

The team has begun looking for a trade partner after growing frustrated with his injury history over the last three years, according to a source. There is already some interest from other teams around the league.

A talented cornerback when healthy, Breaux has had trouble staying on the field the last few seasons. He’s missed more than week of practice due to a leg contusion and finished last year on injured reserve with a shoulder sprain. He also suffered a broken fibula in Week 1 of last season.

Will be turning 28 in October. Liked him when I saw him in the CFL and advocated going after him then. His injury history only scares me if the doctors say he's not right or the broken vertebrae in his back from his high school days is going to be a big issue as he ages. Now if the execs and coaches there are also frustrated with him because of how he rehabs or is just one of those immature kids when it comes to treating injuries, then it'd be no dice for me. It's always muddy when a coaching staff is willing to let a player go in part because of injuries because sometimes there's more to it than just staying healthy.

He will be a FA at the end of this year BTW.

Cousins told espn he'd like to be in Washington for his whole career.

So time to look at the 2018 QB class.

The Saints have fired team orthopedists Deryk Jones and Misty Suri, per source, after it was discovered that CB Delvin Breaux has a fractured fibula and will require surgery expected to sidelined him for 4-6 weeks. Breaux was originally diagnosed with a contusion – and the team was frustrated that he wasn't recovering more quickly until the missed diagnosis was revealed. It was accurately reported that the team has had an issue with Breaux's string of nagging injuries in the past, but this case is different. And it seems unlikely at this point that the team will be as eager to trade or release Breaux.

Wide receivers should be charged with felony assault of Sean Smith's recent career.

Anquan Boldin has decided to retire 13 days into his Buffalo Bills career.

Suppose some people will write it, Anquan Boldin has decided to call it a career after the Bills decided to trade away Sammy Watkins and Ronald Darby.

Either way.

Sad in many respects. One of the better and most professional guys to come into the league in a very long time. One of the most entertaining guys to watch, too, IMO. The best title a football person can receive IMO is a "true pro's pro" and to me Boldin is a perfect example of that.
