Key word: Again. Different from before. In other words, goodbye!

Same incident as the most recent arrest, though. I'm not disagreeing that he may very well be gone, but it's not like he was arrested for something new.

EMMITT SMITH
Congratulates Sergio Garcia
FOUGHT THROUGH 'A VARSITY'

http://www.tmz.com/2017/04/10/emmitt-smith-sergio-garcia-fighting-through-a-varsity/

Claims it was a computer glitch.

1) If this was done on a phone I could maybe see how somebody could post "a varsity" instead of "adversity" especially if it was done using talk-to-text or speech-to-text software.

2) The fact we're talking about Emmitt Smith here pretty much doesn't want me to give him the benefit of the doubt. If you are unaware of Emmitt's work in the past since retiring, go to one of the many websites detailing some of his gaffes while at ESPN. It is ALL-TIME bad and it's why I'm making note of this small story.

Haven't seen this posted yet but Dion Jordan has been signed by the Seahawks. I was hoping that we would pick him up.

I can already predict the next question and that is "how can Dion Jordan get signed but Kaepernick can't?"

I actually think that's a legitimate question.

Carlos Hyde for him?

Sheldon Richardson - DL - Jets

NJ Advance Media's Connor Hughes believes "odds are" the Jets will end up trading DE Sheldon Richardson on draft weekend.

There's been a ton of chatter about a Richardson trade, but no teams have been connected to him since last year's trade deadline when the Cowboys and Broncos were sniffing around. Both clubs still make a ton of sense as landing spots, with the Bengals and Chiefs also possible fits. Richardson is an elite talent, but a checkered off-field history makes teams leery of giving up anything of significance for him. The Jets might hope for a mid-round pick.

I was absolutely a Wilkerson fan...

Richardson does have some issues though... idk....

I actually think Hyde may be an overpayment.... a 5th rd pick i bet the jets would bite, maybe push for a 4th.

Marshawn Lynch - RB - Seahawks

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Marshawn Lynch is expected to be traded to the Raiders.

RapSheet adds the trade is contingent on Lynch reworking his deal, but it all seems like a formality at this point. If it all works out, Lynch should be one of the more interesting fantasy discussion this summer. Considering Latavius Murray managed top-13 performances each of the last two seasons, Lynch's upside in a quality offense behind a great line is undeniable. That said, he will be 31 this month, did not play football last season, and sat out most of 2015 because of injury. The upside alone has to put him in the RB2 tier, but there is a good chance Lynch is over-drafted.

Marshawn Lynch - RB - Seahawks

ESPN's Ed Werder reports Marshawn Lynch's "short-term deal" with the Raiders will include "heavy incentives."

That's far from s surprise. No matter how badly the Raiders want Lynch, they understand he's a 31-year-old back (this month) who spent 2016 out of the league. Lynch also struggled through injury and bouts of ineffectiveness in 2015. His addition, while a big name, would be far from a slam dunk.

Dallas would be a great fit. If I were them I'd offer the Jets a 5th and a conditional 4th next year depending on if he stay away from trouble. A move like that would help out their issues with their secondary a great deal. They would truly be considered a SB contender:

Sheldon Richardson - DL - Jets

According to ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini, "there doesn't appear to be much interest" in DE Sheldon Richardson.

Richardson's slim trade prospects got even thinner last week when the Colts bolstered their defensive line by signing Johnathan Hankins to a three-year deal. The Cowboys and Raiders have been mentioned as potential fits, though teams have been reluctant to take on Richardson's $8.1 million salary, particularly coming off a down year in 2016. Cimini wouldn't rule out a draft day trade but for now, it looks like Richardson will play out the last year of his contract in New York.

Kawann Short - DL - Panthers

Panthers re-signed DT Kawann Short to a five-year, $80 million contract.

Short had yet to sign his franchise tag, and the two sides beat the July deadline with ease. At $16 million per year, Short becomes the league's third-highest-paid 4-3 defensive tackle behind Ndamukong Suh and Fletcher Cox. Short was said to be seeking $17-19 million annually. With Short now locked up through 2021, the Panthers could be forced to let fellow DT Star Lotulelei walk as a free agent next spring. Carolina used a first-rounder on DT Vernon Butler last year. Short was Pro Football Focus' No. 3 defensive tackle last season behind Aaron Donald and Suh.

From a fan standpoint, I think this could be a good year to watch and follow this show... depending on who they draft 9 days from now:

Jameis Winston - QB - Buccaneers

The Bucs will be the featured team on this year's season of Hard Knocks.

The Bucs campaigned for the gig, and got it. Although the show has gotten rather formulaic in recent years, it's still a fascinating look into training camp. The Bucs will try to present a team that's ready for a return to the playoffs after 2016's step forward.
