Advice for all levels of football:

Dennis Allen is one of the best examples going for the argument that many times it's about who you know than what you know in regards to one's employment in the game of football.

When I fell in love with him in college I never said anyone should ever fall in love with his blocking or blocking potential, but this is just pathetic.

It's very, very early but I think you can add calling games to the list of many Rex Ryan talents. Sheesh!

Kevin White - WR - Bears

ESPN's Dan Graziano reports the Bears fear Kevin White fractured his collarbone in Sunday's Week 1 loss to Atlanta.

It is believed he will require season-ending surgery. It's another devastating blow to injury-riddled White, who appeared in just his fifth NFL game as a third-year pro Sunday versus the Falcons. Rookie Tarik Cohen wound up leading Chicago in targets with 12. As Cameron Meredith tore his ACL and MCL during the preseason, the Bears' best remaining wide receivers are Kendall Wright, Deonte Thompson, and Josh Bellamy.

Dude is starting to look like Charles Rogers 2.0.

Is this guy just not built for the NFL?

Rookie Dan Feeney the lineman who gave up the pressure that led to the blocked kick by the Broncos to win the game. I'll take some delight on that for so many reasons.

Feel for Rivers, though. Love that guy for the most part.

That was a great call on Diggs. I was pissed about Griffen too.

It's beyond frustrating being a 49er fan when my own draft picks over the years have been better than the picks people running a franchise and making millions of dollars have made. :banghead:

Maybe that's not saying much considering how much Baalke, Nolan, Donahue & now Lynch have sucked. :(

Maybe they luck out & get the #1 pick & take Rosen. But as the Colts have shown you, a s**tty GM can ruin a QB's career no matter how good he is. :noway:

Feeney was pathetic on that FG attempt... that really sucks, looking forward to OT here on the east coast!

49ers play them on October 1st and November 5th. If it's half the season he could potentially miss both 49ers games.

As I already noted, the 49ers play them on October 1st and November 5th. This very well could knock him out of both Niners match ups.

The Rapoport post and the Schefter post came within 7 minutes of each other. Slight differences in the wording. Guess we'll see.

The very bad: The Texans only have 3 TEs on the active roster.

The worst: The Texans play on Thursday night.

But you say the Texans kept 1 TE on the practice squad - Evan Baylis.

..........but he's an undrafted rookie and averaged less than 1 catch per game in his career at Oregon and is known more for his blocking. Does have good size and might eventually offer some size mismatch opportunities but that might not help them this week if he even suits up.

Just a pretty amazing situation for them this week at that spot. Maybe one or more of them gets cleared but it's always tough on a short week.

Always liked Nick Perry. Thought he was underrated for a long time.

Making another addition to the ridiculous situation in Houston. Not only did all 3 of their TEs suffer concussions in last week's game but so did Brian Cushing and Bruce Ellington (yes, that Bruce Ellington if you didn't know where he went). They are all out for Thursday's game.

Evan Baylis will, in fact, start at TE for them with Watson making his first start, too. Crazy.

Had been with them since 2003 but didn't get the OC title until 2016. His name would often get tossed out there for the 49ers when the Alex Smith project started to get going without great results.
