Some TNF games scheduled for FOX could end up on FS1
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/04/21/some-tnf-games-scheduled-for-fox-could-end-up-on-fs1/
A problem would arise if one of the early games results in a World Series contest shifting to Thursday, October 25. If that happens, Dolphins-Texans would move from broadcast to cable. And any delay of any game could result in Game Seven moving from Wednesday, October 31 to Thursday, November 1, forcing Raiders-49ers off of the parent network.

Solomon Thomas - DL - 49ers
The 49ers will use 2017 first-round pick Solomon Thomas at "Leo" in their base defense this season.
Arik Armstead, who previously lined up at Leo, will now move to the 49ers' "big end" position, where run stopping will be his main responsibility. At Leo, Thomas will get more pass-rush chances off the edge. Thomas struggled as a pass rusher during his rookie campaign, managing three sacks and only 12 quarterback hits among nearly 700 snaps. He was last year's No. 3 overall pick.

Don't love that plan. Thomas struggled to get pressure coming off the left side, facing RTs who are typically going to be poorer pass blockers. I don't see him improving dramatically coming off the right side. I had visions of him playing base end on early downs and moving inside on passing downs. I would hope he'd still move inside on passing downs.

And if I am not mistaken Armstead was better as a pass rusher than a run stopper. Things can change but they have some work cut out

Yeah, but I think that's primarily playing inside. He should be fine on the edge. In our D, big edge is probably his best fit. I'm honestly not sure how well he played the run at Leo last year. Seemed like he wasn't there very long.

Five NFL players who could be traded before the 2018 draft ends
http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/274163/five-veterans-who-could-be-dealt-before-2018-nfl-draft-ends
There’s a sense around the league that the Dallas Cowboys aren’t done making a push for Thomas, who’d fill a major need on their defense. Two sources said the trade discussions between Seattle and Dallas have centered around the Cowboys’ second-round pick (No. 50 overall) but that no deal will be done until the Cowboys figure out whether they can sign Thomas long term. Thomas has one year and $8.5 million left on his contract, which would make him a great deal for the 2018 Cowboys. But dealing a second-rounder for a one-year rental wouldn’t make a lot of sense. If a deal gets struck, expect news of a Thomas contract extension with Dallas to follow.

I'd rather have Ronald Blair on the field. The amount of scheming this coaching staff is forced into trying to get all these highly drafted overlapping turds on the field is a joke. Hopefully a rookie or San Diego boy forces their hand into a much better option at LEO.

Always thought he would be a fit with Payton in NO. Thought they might take him that year.
