Flores holds former Wisconsin and Arkansas coach Brett Bielema in high regard, and the two have gotten to know each other well in the past year, with Bielema currently working as a consultant to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

One source briefed on the situation said he believes Bielema - along with others - is receiving consideration for the Dolphins’ defensive coordinator job and could end up on Miami’s coaching staff in some role.

Peters reminds me of Chris Culliver. Vastly overrated players! And just like Culliver cost us a super bowl, so will Peters will do for the Rams. He’s going to be their demise...!

He meant Mike. Very good get for Fangio. One of the main stories with Fangio was really about who he/they could get to come with him or retain if there was someone worthy of retaining in his destination spot. That one is very solid.

I'd still be very uneasy about tying myself to Elway's (lack of) eye for type of talent but we'll see.

Cam Newton - QB - Panthers

ESPN Panthers reporter David Newton speculates Cam Newton could sit out the entire 2019 season if he undergoes another shoulder operation.

It's pure speculation, and not particularly informed, though owner David Tepper also casually mentioned the possibility of Newton sitting out in 2019. "If you told me he took a year off and could recover and be fully recovered and everything else, and that's what it took, an extra year, why wouldn't you do that," Tapper asked rhetorically on Tuesday. At least as of January, that scenario does not seem particularly likely. Newton is opting for rest and rehab before deciding on his second operation in three years.
