And Cooks likely has a concussion. I never wish injuries on other teams, but I'll take it for next week. Let's just hope the Niners emerge unscathed.

Update: looks like Cooks is in the concussion protocol.

Teams willing to trade first-round pick for A.J. Green when healthy but skeptical whether Bengals will make a deal

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/teams-willing-to-trade-first-round-pick-for-a-j-green-when-healthy-but-skeptical-whether-bengals-will-make-a-deal/

Fair or not, La Canfora has a poor enough history putting stuff like this out there that later gets refuted by others so it should be noted that this is coming from him and his wording always has to be taken with caution. Sometimes even the entire message itself.

Broncos moving closer to fire sale, and even Von Miller could be moved before deadline

Not an uncommon feeling for me but today especially I'm having WR jealousy. Bad. Sheesh!

Gruden and company ripping off some of Shanahan's staples today. Unsuccessfully.

Is today the least interesting Sunday of football in years? I think so.

I quite enjoyed seeing Chicago beaten.

Was suppose to be Mack's revenge game but that defense let the Raiders pile up some points.

The Daniel Jones hype train is quiet for this week.

Chargers and Cowboys getting exposed so far.

If Justin Houston's game as the T-27th highest paid guy at his position isn't for you, what's your problem?

If Justin Houston's game has never made you happy from a pure football perspective, I question your eye for talent and recommend you stop watching football.

That is not a good loss for them. He was starting to really turn it on this season. Had the highest pass rush win rate % in the league but on limited snaps (34 rushes coming into tonight).

He's free to sign with another team. Long been one of my favorite players to watch and one of the most awesome PEOPLE to ever enter the NFL as well. He'll be 39 at the end of the season and has a billion opportunities waiting for him - many of which are far greater than football but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't get excited to have him over the dumb experiment that is Ross Dwelley. Especially if I'm wrong and this team is actually ready to do something in November and December (they aren't).

I wouldn't force him on Shanahan if it comes at the expense of anything to Juice, who is criminally underutilized I feel like, but that is another topic for another day.

Isn't saying much IMO. Most owners looking for a HC will have those names on HIS/HER list.

Why would Bowles get another HC job so soon after the mess that was the Jets?

Fair or not, a lot of NFL types don't pin that situation on him as fans have and he's still very well-liked in the NFL and still has a lot of connections. It's not a personal recommendation, though I do like large chunks of his style and subscribe to some of the same ideas that he does, but depending on what he does in the near future he's got a good chance at being a re-tread HC in part because of those reasons. The lack of "adult in the room" type coaches also will help him with the people who make these decisions as well IMO.
