They are now (or pretty close).

They better go on a run then. Still a lot of season left but they have no margin for error.

Then after this season, they will be looking at Whitworth, Brockers, Fowler and another skater or two as free agents as well as giving Ramsey a big extension.

Donald and Ramsey may be all world but the rest may be scrubs.

Where they’ve really fallen down compared to the previous two seasons is in the OL. If they don’t keep Whitworth, that unit will be a huge liability.

See, I don’t agree. They lost both of their pro bowl caliber corners and replaced them with an all pro caliber corner. Yes they upgraded at one spot but significantly downgraded at the other. I’m also not entirely impressed with much of the rest of their defense, sure they have bright spots here and there but combined it’s not an overly impressive group even with Ramsey.

That’s not even getting into their offense which is awful!

Basically, the addition of Ramsey does nothing to stop our offense because Shanny will scheme away from him. Offensively, they traded for an OL but that won’t stop our rush.

The biggest issue here is the money they'll have to sink into him to keep him. He's a great player, and assuming they get back on track (which is not a given), those picks should be later in the round. I can see why they made the move. Their defense has been playing alright this year. They aren't elite, but the bigger problem has been the offense. With an offensive-minded HC and highly drafted QB, there's reason to believe that they can turn this season around. Their biggest problem has been the OL and Goff's play behind it, and this doesn't help that. But if Goff can settle down and hurt teams more with his arm, this team will be right back in the mix.

Panthers sign returner Greg Dortch off Jets' practice squad

https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-sign-returner-greg-dortch-off-jets-practice-squad

One of my UDFA targets. There's an injury history you'd have had to talk over but he's ANOTHER guy I'd rather have on the roster over Trent freaking Taylor.

Just hoping he's (Dortch) is forced to be up when the 49ers play them in 11 days.

Well, this'll be interesting if the Mahomes injury turns out to be something. Matt Moore is one of my favorite backup options there is and was screaming for the 49ers to sign him (they spoke to him in September '18 but he was being selective at the time and turned down the 49ers and Titans workout requests).

Lateral patella dislocation is suspected by Dr. David J. Chao (you can find his stuff on Twitter). Called it "amazing" that he was able to walk off. The knee is going to swell. Believes surgery is not guaranteed but will be an option. Cited Trent Williams trying to play through the same injury. Others can not. Says the best case scenario is "they relocate the patella and it WILL be weeks before he returns." It will "swell like crazy and he will not play next week. It may be 4 weeks." Even if he avoids surgery now, he'll "probably have to have offseason surgery to fix it." Didn't rule out season being over.

He just posted more of his thoughts after the patella dislocation confirmation. You can check out his website for the long paragraph but he believes they'll "go the safer route" and have him have surgery which means a minimum six to nine month recovery.

Damn. I was looking for a prognosis all over the web. Should have known better to reach out to Pozz first. I know you like Moore Pozz, but this is really a blow for Tyreek Hill’s big play potential.
