Why aren’t our pass rushers in?

No threat on the outside. How many times did we attempt a deep pass today?

I’m hurt by this lost, but I’m not surprised. We have no pass rush, no receivers, and our QB is just a game manager. I’m hoping for a wildcard birth at best - at which point I’m hoping that we will have a healthy Aiyuk and Deebo.

Hell yeahhh. I had no doubts about that. Which is why I drafted him in almost all in my FF teams. Hence, I’ve never drafted rookie QBs before, which says a lot about how I felt about him from the onset. Wait till he gets used to the speed of the game. It’s going to be scary!

Re: Around the NFL Thread
Burrow is already better than Baker Mayfield. Baker is a guy who was given everything that a QB could ask for entering the league and he’s been completely mediocre as a result.

Burrow is better than Jimmy Garoppolo and many other starring QBs in the NFL now. I still think that Tua is slightly better than him though.
The Bengals organization need to do whatever necessary to protect their stud QB (draft Penei Sewell in 2021); and surround him with serious talent (resign AJ Green).

I agree with everything here except for the part about Tua being better. I honestly just don’t see a franchise guy with Tua. He may prove me wrong though.

Rams hand out $65M more to Woods. How are they going to field a full roster next year?

Wow Cowboys.
They were touting how Aldon could have a breakout year for them.
Maybe drafting another WR was a luxury they couldn't afford. Maybe LBs and CBs instead?

Re: Around the NFL Thread
After starting with a 20-0 lead after the first quarter, Falcons eventually blow a 39-24 lead with less than 5 minutes left.
Man, Atlanta sure seems to have a knack for pulling a loss from the jaws of victory.

They watched a spinning ball move slowly towards them.
They forgot they don't have to let it go 10 yards.

I’m shocked so many people didn’t see them being a threat when they landed Hopkins.

Bosa's injury is obviously huge. Jimmy G's might be a blessing in disguise.
Pretty sure Nick Mullens means Shanny will be more inclined to run the ball this year. I really hope we don't take the Giants lightly and sit Kittle. If Kittle is revving to go, I want him out there even if in a limited capacity. After the Giants game, we should get Deebo game, and after the Eagles, we'll get Richard Sherman back. We cannot afford a let down. Aiyuk looks slippery, but hardly was getting separation. Would like to see him as the primary target on a few plays. Over the next two weeks we're facing weak teams, but they're both teams with big play potential on the perimeter.

The 9ers running attack has not been strong thus far this season.
If you take out Mostert's 80 yard run and McKinnon's 55 yarder, 9ers only had 47 yards on 27 carries. Coleman was especially abysmal only picking up 12 yards on 14 carries.
Kyle is going to have to come up with some good schemes to get the ground game rolling and chew up clock. I don't see defenses respecting Mullens/the WR's/ or the passing game in general too much, so they are going to concentrate on stopping the run. Its going to be even tougher to be successful on the ground if Mostert misses any games.
