Charles Woodson?

Just got cut by the Pack. Says he has no plans to retire, and is looking to sign with a contender.

Personally, I'd love to see us pick him up for an inexpensive deal, cut Whitner and move Goldson to SS. Would greatly improve our coverage abilities from the safety position without compromising our run support and big-hit abilities.

I agree..that he can only play FS at this point. He gambles quite a it though, and seems to be feast or famine lately while lacking in the speed department. With that said, I think he'd be a good complement to Goldson who is more of a hard hitter than anything.

I'd like it if he signed for less than Whitner's deal, but I doubt that will happen as Donte is getting paid only 3.3m.

Would love to have him, if he's willing to sign on the cheap. These type guys, basically one year mercenaries who can make a nice impact but far along in their career, are who Frisco should be targeting in free agency. Depth was an issue for this team, signing guys like Woodson will really help allevaite that concern.

Depth on defense was an issue. For the first time in a while we had real depth on offense...which was good since everyone got injured or was an idiot (cough Jacobs).
